Sceptre X322BV-HD

At $400, the 32-inch Sceptre X322BV-HD LCD TV is a decent, inexpensive way to get HDTV into your home. Its disappointing video quality, middling build quality, and few features make it far from a recommended choice, though.

Inexpensive. Good noise reduction and film video processing.

Terrible black levels. Bare-bones feature set. No 1080p support. Wobbly stand. Power hog for an LCD.

The screen's resolution is a strange point. While the HDTV is 720p, half of the marketing materials and support documents point out its ability to accept 1080p/60 video. Even the screen itself displays "1080p/60" when receiving a signal of that and...

Great little TV

The bezel is a bit wide when using it as a second monitor, but that's not enough to drop the rating (for me at least).

It's been a few years and this TV is still working as well as it did on day one. I have used this as both a TV (connected to game consoles) and as a monitor (via HDMI).

None, really. Solid TV.

Lasted almost 5 years.

The TV was very dependable until it stopped working the other day. Power light would not come on, ac cord was checked and changed, outlet ok, neither remote or buttons on the tv could make it work. Blue indicator light was not on. Had no power failures...

Picture quality was very good. Sound was also pretty good.

TV died after 5 years of use and would get very warm after a few hours on. You could heat the room with the warm air coming out of the vents! Similar to other brands of flat screen I own too.

Our first LCD TV

It was a good lesson that you get what you pay for. Wouldn't buy Spectre again. We went from a Motorola hybrid to this so we could watch HD. We're not too picky...so it's been fine for us.

Excellent score at $200 on Black Friday 2010! Has served us well for the past 4 years. No plans to replace it until it dies.

Speakers blew out first month while watch Led Zepplin (we didn't have it over 25...I promise) Dark colors and scenes are horrid with large areas of digital jaggedness. Controller is horrible. Buttons don't work unless you use your fingernail.

Not so good..

Hoping they will replace with one with a better screen or of equal value rather than refunding me and charging a processing fee.

Nice screen size, good frame rate for gaming 720 p but u can set your Xbox to 1080p and it still runs smoothly

Visible screen flaws. Very noticeable wasn't refurbished well enough I'm surprised this was given the go ahead to sell because the screen flaws are immediately apparent.

Good price, short life

It was OK for the price and quality. Hindsight tells me spending a little more might have given me a television that lasted longer.

Price was good at the time (2010)

Died after a little more than 2.5 years.

Dead

Not worth the low price. Spend a little more and get a brand that is more likely to last.

Low price Picture quality was OK

Poor quality. Died twice. Once in warranty, once just after warranty ended. The picture works for a few minutes then goes blank.
