Sharp LC-65E77U LCD HDTV First Impresisons Review - Intro

The LC-65E77U is a 65-inch LCD TV with a retail price of $4,499.99. This is a bit of a hike in price from the 52-inch model in the same series, which will retail for $2,399. Other than being a bit pricy, the LC-65E77U seems to be a solid TV in a lot of...

The LC-65E77U looks like it has good quality, but it's a bit lacking in extras. We were surprised to see it priced so highly when it seems to be a fairly vanilla set. It has a few features that increase video quality, and while we thought the video...

The backlight can also dynamically respond to the amount of light in the room, which can be more beneficial than adjustments based on APL. In particular, the best backlight setting for a brightly lit room is higher than the best setting for a darkened...

Beautiful

If you're a videogamer, this is a fantastic TV to get. I play call of duty, geometry wars evolved, halo 3. I couldn't feel any lag in any of those games.

Great picture. In game mode at least, UNDETECTABLE game lag. This was my number one priority, and I barely detect any lag whatsoever in game mode. And it still looks brilliant. In guitar hero: world tour calibration test, got 8-10ms on average. No one...

The remote does kinda suck. But that's a very small issue for me

Great TV all around the board

I've read a few complaints saying that this TV does not work well as a computer monitor, which I have to disagree with. I have my main computer hooked up to this set using a DVI-HDMI converter and it is currently running flawlessly in 1080p; no blur to...

I'm using this TV for gaming, blu-ray movies, and also as a computer monitor. It's handled everything I've thrown at it without a single problem. The picture quality is crisp, clear, and smooth. The frame, button layout, and stand for the TV are all...

I wouldn't write home about the quality of the speakers, but it's not a detractor for me as I wasn't planning on using the built in speakers in the first place ; On another note, I do wish you could actually write your own labels for the different...

Great TV but not as good as a monitor.

I bought this elsewhere. Still it's an excellent TV. Aside from my gripe about it's text and visibility/blur as a monitor, it's still quite worth getting.

Excellent Picture quality ; Wide variety of options ; Adjustable lighting or OPC ; Sound is fine for TV speakers as well ; 120hz ; No Motion blurring in games when I use this as a monitor

As a Computer monitor, it's not as good. I've tried messing around with various settings both on the TV and Win7's ClearType Text tool to reduce blurriness of text but even after many modifications text is still slightly blurred when operating as a...
