Sharp Aquos Crystal Smartphone Review

A sharp edge. The term "edge-to-edge" has now become a common marketing ploy to advertise most any portable with a display, but Sharp have taken the term one step further. We find out why the Aquos Crystal is the 2015 CES Innovation Awards Honoree with...

Unique and attractive design, Respectable chassis quality, MicroSD support up to 128 GB, Acceptable system performance, Bright IPS display, Small for a 5-inch smartphone, Wi-Fi calling, Very inexpensive

Average camera quality, Low maximum volume with static, Small 8 GB SSD, No official GSM model in the U.S., WLAN range could be longer, No NFC or 802.11ac, non-removable battery

The display and design are the heart of any smartphone as they have a significant influence on user impression. This is what the Aquos Crystal does best since its avant-garde appearance is guaranteed to capture the attention of users who are out...

Sharp Aquos Crystal ( white)

At last, the mobile consumer pipe-dream to have an edge-to-edge display handset isn't so elusive anymore, and when it was announced, the Aquos Crystal made waves for its compelling design. But beyond its interesting aesthetic, the device is distinctly...

Boost Mobile's Sharp Aquos Crystal has an affordable price tag, a decent camera, and above all, a bold bezel-less design.

You can't remove the Crystal's battery, and its in-ear audio quality is mediocre with calls sounding hollow and thin.

Don't fret about the unremarkable features -- the Sharp Aquos Crystal is a great buy with a compelling edgeless display that renders it unlike any phone currently on the market.

Sharp AQUOS Crystal review: mid-range brains meet striking looks

Pop quiz, hotshot: When's the last time you saw a Sharp phone in the United States? The Sharp FX from years back? Maybe the FX Plus? If you're anything l

Striking bezel-less screen ; Decent performer ; Above-average battery life ; Can be had for a low price

Both cameras are mediocre ; Lots of bloatware ; Exclusive to Sprint and its MVNOs

The AQUOS Crystal is Sharp's first phone to land in the US in ages, and it's a looker thanks to that amazing screen design. It isn't just handsome, though: The Snapdragon 400 ticking away inside gives it enough oomph to keep up with most people's daily...

Sharp Aquos Phone 104SH review

These are tough times for the Japanese technology industry, and Sharp knows that as well as most. However, smartphones are one area where the company has found domestic success of late, albeit in second place behind Apple. The Aquos Phone 104SH...

Well-designed hardware ; Skin actually improves stock Android 4.0 ; Good camera ; Excellent performance ; Great screen

Mediocre battery life ; Poor speaker quality ; No NFC ; Unusable front-facing camera

Could Sharp's take on Android 4.0 put Japan back on the mobile map?

Sharp Aquos Quattron 830 review: Sharp Aquos Quattron 830

Last year Sharp made a splash with ads featuring Star Trek's Mr. Sulu--George Takei--comically extolling the virtues of a technology called Quattron. With the memorable "Oh, myyy" tagline, the spots attempted to convince TV buyers that the technology,...

The Sharp LC-LE830U has a picture with relatively accurate color in bright areas, good video processing, and the ability to handle bright rooms well. Its feature set offers excellent help and support options, built-in Wi-Fi, and a remote with three...

Reproduces lighter black levels; poor screen uniformity; dark areas tinged blue; separate interfaces for apps and widgets can be confusing; somewhat generic styling.

Although it's blessed with a solid feature set, the picture quality of Sharp LC-LE830U series falls short of most LED-based LCD TVs we've tested.

Sharp Aquos 6 Series

The Sharp Aquos 6 Series features more colors than other LED TVs. Find out how that affects the picture.

This smart TV has one more subpixel than most other LED TVs

The refresh rate could be a tad better

The Sharp Aquos Quattron 6 Series TV has an excellent picture and most of the features you look for in an LED TV.

Sharp Aquos Crystal: The future of smartphones looks like this [REVIEW]

The Aquos Crystal is a good deal, so long as you don't care about taking pretty pictures.

Bezel-less display on three sides ; Harman Kardon Clari-Fi audio boost is nice ; Good battery life

Display edges have almost no protection ; Mediocre front and rear cameras ; Direct Wave Receiver sound isn't very clear

The Sharp Aquos Crystal is a sleek smartphone with a display that looks like it came straight out of Star Wars, however, its display durability is questionable and the cameras on the front and back are just awful.

"Great picture, great looking TV"

When I first set this TV up I turned it on and immediately noticed a jittery jump in the picture. Wasn't too bad but I could not figure out what was going on. I tried moving some electronics away from the screen and this might have helped because it...

- Not enough apps. Need more.
