Sharp LC-60LE820UN 60-Inch LCD TV

(Editor's note: This review of the Sharp 820UN series is based on our hands-on testing and evaluation of the 52-inch 52LE820UN. According to the manufacturer, the image quality and features should be equivalent for each TV in this model line.)

Good documentation ; Energy-efficient set ; Above-average audio ; Decent image quality

Odd port placement ; User interface feels cluttered ; Pricey for its screen size and feature set

The Sharp Aquos 820UN Series offers good image quality, above-average audio, and energy efficiency, but its Internet and other features aren't the greatest, its design has serious shortcomings, and it is pricey for its screen-size class.

Sharp LE820UN series information: Our review of Sharp's 60-inch LC-60LE820UN is based on our time spent with the 46-inch LC-46LE820UN. The observations do apply to the other TVs in Sharp's LE820UN series. This includes the 40-inch LC-40LE820UN and the...

Excellent video quality ; Good onscreen menu system ; Low energy use ; Netflix capability

Relatively expensive ; No Wi-Fi connectivity or SD card slot ; Remote should be better ; Sound system just O.K

Sharp's LED-backlit Quattron LC-60LE820UN takes its place among the best LCD televisions we've ever tested, with superior black levels, contrast and hyper-accurate colors.

Sharp LC-60LE820UN LCD HDTV First Impressions Review - Intro

The Sharp LC-60LE820UN will be priced at around $4000 when it is released in March. That's a little expensive for a 60-inch model, but the LE820 series is one of Sharp's higher-end models. Since we haven't yet tested the new features it offers (such as...

The LC-60LE820UN will be priced at around $4000 when it is released in March. That's a little expensive for a 60-inch model, but the LE820 series is one of Sharp's higher-end models. We can't comment too much on the value of the TV's extra features;...

Review: Sharp LC-60LE820UN 60-Inch LCD TV

The Sharp Aquos 820UN Series offers good image quality, above-average audio, and energy efficiency, but its Internet and other features aren't the greatest, its design has serious shortcomings, and it is pricey for its screen-size class.

Sharp has been touting its Quattron quad-pixel technology (which adds yellow pixels to the usual red/blue/green array), so we were eager to see how its image quality would fare in our juried tests of the Sharp Aquos 820UN Series, a 52-inch, LED-backlit...

I use my PS3 and my Sharp Blue-Ray and my BOSE sound system and everything works flawlessly. Set up was super easy. Stellar everything! I would buy this LCD again. No buyer's remorse, whatsoever.

Incredible Picture & Sound & Connectivity & Ease of use

great picture on hd channels

the hd programming looks like it is popping off the screen, energy efficient, you may get the same results with a 1080 plasma with better reception on non hd channels but the led technology was worth the purchase.

great picture on hd channels as a matter of fact the hd channels look better on this lead lcd then my 61" panasonic dlp, audio is good, very quiet set, large screen, several picture adjust settings

non hd channels look worse on this set then they do on my panasonic dlp hd tv. I just purchased the other day so I may come back and update this part

LC60LE820UN is a massive 4 color LED.

In 2009 Sharp had no competition in 60 LCD. This year Sony added a 60 LED and LCD to their retail lineup, and yet Sharp will still reign 60 inch LCD/LED. Sharp's Quatron (four color) LC60LE820UN is their top model for the foreseeable future. It is...
