Sharp Aquos LC-45GX6U

Supported EDTV and HDTV Resolutions: 480i pixels, Type: Monitor, Aspect Ratio: 16:9, Native Resolution: 1920 x 1080...

Detailed imagery with high-quality sources. Responsive universal remote control. Comprehensive and quick menu system. Integrated analog and digital television tuners.

Lacks support for 1080p input via DVI/HDMI. Different levels of gray are different colors (grayscale/color tracking problems). Optional PC card adapter required for accessing multimedia files on flash memory cards. Poor detection of film-based DVD movies

The 45-inch Sharp Aquos LC-45GX6U offers impressive clarity with high-quality HDTV and highlights the flaws of lesser sources. The few quirks we encountered didn't deter us from declaring the LC-45GX6U the best of the big 1080p LCD TVs available today.

As the quality of cameras, telecines, and storage media improve, the extra resolution this set offers over the plasma competition will be even more noticeable as time goes on. Mmmm, 1080p.

Sharp Aquos LC-45GX6U integrated digital HDTV

However, once screens get up to 40 inches diagonal, the list of LCD sets gets a lot shorter, and Sharp Electronics is certainly a player with their Aquos LC-45GX6U. It takes a lot of work to make an LCD panel this big without defects; the costs right...

True 1080p, easily wall-mountable (~50 lbs), crisp vivid picture, can connect a PC at 1920x1080/60

Some wrangling and a separate switchbox required to connect PC at 1920x1080/60

After a lot of research I decided on getting an LCD over Plasma.

Excellent picture. Wide viewing angle. External ACU box for connecting components. Slim case that won't interfere with living room interior design (it's not a big silver or black box).

None that I've found yet.

I love my Aquos

The Sharp Aquos LC-45GX6U is one of the best LCD-TVs on the market.

The great picture quality with 1920x1080 resolution ; external AVC box ; PC card slot ; build-in HDTV tuner

1920x1080 is not supported on external DVI input on AVC (but there is a possibility for direct connection without AVC for 1920x1080 from PC) ; pure PC card interface, does not accept MPEG-4

Great LCD TV

The picture is great when getting an HD signal, but the analog signal upconversion only looks average.

Looks awesome. HD picture is spectacular. Setup is easy. Separate box for connections.

Expensive, but getting cheaper. Analog picture actually looks worse than on regular tv. Short power cable.

The reason I purchased this model: it was the ONLY TV I could find which would let me drive it with my computer at 1920 x 1200 resolution.

True 1080p, price, exteral AV box
