Sharp Aquos LC-46X8E 46in LCD TV

Sitting on its own in Sharp's LCD TV range, how does the LC-46X8E shape up? John finds out.

In terms of connections, the 46X8E boasts three v1.3 HDMIs, a D-Sub PC port, and all the other modern ‘essentials’, plus an RS-232 port for system integration - a fair effort given the 46X8E’s reasonable (especially by John Lewis standards!) price.

Sharp LC-46X8E

Such total sales exclusivity is quite unusual these days. As is the fact that the 46X8E is the only model in the X8E 'range'- there are no other sizes. Odd.

Amazing price, great looks, extremely sharp HD pictures

Average black levels, some colour tone issues, a little motion judder, soft standard definition pictures
