Sharp AQUOS Quattron LC-60LE925UN

2010 was supposed to be the year 3D HDTV took off, but pathetic software and programming line-ups threw a huge roadblock in the way of the TV industry's plans. High prices in a recession didn't help much either. The dearth of great mainstream 3D...

Outstanding 2D playback ; Very good 3D effects ; Supplied Wi-Fi adaptor (for NetFlix, vudu) ; Two pair of glasses supplied

Expensive ; Remote should be better (as always) ; No SD card slot or front HDMI connection

Sharp’s LC-60LE925UN combines its four-color Quattron technology with 3D capabilities for stunning image quality in both dimensions.

Sharp LC-60LE925E review

It's Sharp's first 3D TV, it's Quattron-powered, and it's a stunner

Massive, exceptionally bright and wonderfully colourful 3D and HD pictures ; Nicely designed ; Plenty of connections and features ; Outstanding onscreen menu system

Crosstalk noise with 3D ; Video noise with standard-def broadcasts

It definitely needs to be fed as consistent a 3D and HD diet as possible, though, due to its shortcomings with standard-def broadcasts. And while crosstalk might not crop up as regularly as with some other 3D TVs, it's mightily distracting when it does.

Sharp LC-60LE925E review

Sharp's Quattron technology greatly impressed me when it made its debut back in May. The only problem was that it appeared at the time when most other brands were busy launching headline-grabbing 3D sets, so that the brand's additional yellow sub-pixel...

Quattron tech produces outstanding colours; good contrast; classy, curved design

3D images blighted by crosstalk noise; SD broadcasts look a bit rough ; Performance: 4/5 ; Design: 5/5 ; Features: 4/5 ; Overall: 4/5

Sharp Aquos LC-60LE925E

We find out how this 60-inch 3D-ready LED LCD TV shapes up.

Problem is, Sharp felt that it just had to get a 3D TV well established in the market in the run up to Christmas. So they took the philosophical view that many of the sort of people who might consider installing a 60in screen like the 60LE925E in their...

Sharp 3D Quattron LC-60LE925E hands-on test

Sharp's Aquos Quattron 3D LC-60LE925E is a jaw-dropper. With gorgeous 2D Full HD images, online net portal and DLNA compliance, it ticks all the right boxes. Its bright, colourful 3D performance is just a bonus.

Outstanding colours ; Aquos Net+ online gateway ; Bright 3D performance ; Slim, smart design

No Freeview HD tuner ; Only one pair of 3D specs included ; 3D double imaging

We think Sharp could be onto a real winner with the LC-60LE925E. The tidy design, competitive price and excellent image quality make it a tempting buy for those looking for a monster screen. The 3D just comes as an added bonus

Sharp Quattron LC-60LE925X

If you're after a massive television that offers 3D playback and promises better colour performance than its rivals then the Sharp Quattron LC-60LE925X may be worth waiting for.

The TV is due in November, and will ship with one set of glasses. It will retail for AU$6999 from electrical retailers and hi-fi specialists.

I have had this unit for about a week. So far it is awesome! I have it attached it to a PS3 and an Onkyo HT-RC360 5.1 surround system. Everything set up easily and looks great – no artifacts, etc.

This is an amazing TV!! One that won't dissappoint!!!

This is the first LED-LCD TV I have ever owned and, while I'm not an expert on them, I must say this TV is amazing. The picture quality the Quatron offers is crystal clear and is able to turn 3D movies into life like states. The set up on the TV was...
