Sharp LC-32P50E

I have to say that when I first heard about Sharp's new range of LCD TVs optimised for the UK PAL TV standard, I thought Sharp was taking the Michael. Turning an entry-level screen's usually low, non HD Ready native resolution into a perceived strength...

Great standard definition pictures, HDMI input, Lack of noise

HD pictures short of fine detail, Only two Scarts, No PC jack

In other words, Sharp claims you can have your cake and eat it with the 32P50E. I'll come to how it tastes soon enough..

Sharp LC-32P50E review

The Sharp LC-32P50E is optimised for Europe, with a standard definition panel that works perfectly with DVD movies and digital TV. The picture quality cements Sharp's reputation for LCD, and while it won't take full advantage of HD video, it still...

Suave design ; Excellent DVD performance ; HDMI Input

Strange remote control ; Lacks Freeview tuner ; No VGA input

Analogue TV wasn't so much fun to watch, especially with the weaker signal that plagues our building, so we'd recommend the jump to digital. When watching Ronin, we noticed how well the Sharp copes with darker scenes -- the contrast range meant there...

Sharp LC-26P50

The 26P50 is an anomaly for this group test. For while it's perfectly capable of showing the high definition pictures of today and tomorrow, it's not actually fully 'HD Ready' according to the AV world's definition. How come? Because its native...

Exceptional standard definition pictures, good price, neatly designed

There's no PC connection; HD pictures look a touch soft

PC Ready!

I have just ordered an Aquos 26" model with the latest 'PC Input' on the back (just above the 2 scart inputs) - the Sales-staff say I can use it as a monitor or a TV! Terrific!

Amazing sharp technology

A top of the range model for the outlay. Picture quality is excellent, as is the surround sound (on or off) It's 26" screen seems to be spot on for a medium sized room, viewed from a distance of around 9 or 10 feet. Having viewed other plasma and...

I have had 2,42" plasma tv's and returned them both because of poor picture quality at a similar price to this one. This however is a far better picture and a lot brighter than the plasma's.I have no complaints with it.
