Sony Bravia KDL-V40XBR1

Supported EDTV and HDTV Resolutions: 480i pixels, Aspect Ratio: 16:9, Screen Size: 40 inches, Type: Monitor, Type: ...

Detailed imagery with HD sources. Customizable menu system. Good color representation.

Single digital video input is limiting. Default picture settings degrade standard-definition viewing experience. Scrolling through broadcast channel guide also caused the TV to change channels, with odd blank-screen pause between channel changes.

The Sony Bravia KDL-V40XBR1 delivers a pleasing picture when paired with a high-definition source, but disappoints with anything lessuntil you dig into the menu settings. That the TV has only one digital video input (HDMI) also stood out as a limita

Sony Bravia KDL-V32XBR1 HDTV

The Sony Bravia KDL-V32XBR1 offers some interesting, high-end features that help explain its high price ($2700 on 3/24/06). However, its image quality, though generally good, falls short of what you see on some less expensive LCD TVs.

Prominent, well-labeled inputs CableCard slot

So-so image quality on HDTV content Pricey

It's 4,000 words later, and I'm still having a hard time reaching a final verdict on the XBR-55X900A. On the one hand, the TV offers excellent all-around performance, producing a very attractive image in both dark and bright room settings. It doesn't...

The Sony XBR-55HX950 has a fantastic contrast ratio and an extended warranty
