Sony Bravia KDL-55NX720

There's a lot to like about the KDL-NX720 series. Sony's least expensive TV with that lovely Monolithic styling, it still costs a mint but will reward investors with some of the best 2D images we've seen on any LCD with an edge-lit LED backlight . And...

The Sony KDL-NX720 series produces deeper black levels than any edge-lit LED-based TV we've tested. It evinces relatively accurate color, has a uniform screen for edge-lit LED, and can properly handle 1080p/24 sources. It has a beautiful, thin-profile...

The expensive KDL-NX720 shows some blooming artifacts and crushes detail in shadows, and its image deteriorates more noticeably than usual when seen from off-angle. The design of its menu and Internet services is lackluster, and Sony does not include...

Albeit expensive and plagued by 3D image issues, the beautifully styled Sony KDL-NX720 has better picture quality than most other edge-lit LED-based LCD TVs.

Sony KDL-55NX720

Sony NX720 series information: This review is based on our hands-on experience with the 55-inch KDL-55NX720 TV. However, our observations also apply to the two other sizes in Sony's NX720 series of LED TVs, including the 46-inch KDL-46NX720 and 60-inch...

Excellent black level and contrast ; Very bright white levels ; Slick, flat panel with darkened, anti-glare glass ; Built-in Wi-Fi, plenty of Internet apps ; Quick network media access

3D glasses not included ; Remote not backlit

We don’t wish to take anything away from the Sony's XBR line, but the fact is the NX720 is a better over-all value and that is why we’re stamping it with our Editor’s Choice award.

Sony Bravia KDL-55NX720

The Sony KDL-55NX720 is a 55-inch 3D LED-backlit television that has an attractive design with plenty of Internet-connected applications to suit almost everyone. It also has really good black and white levels that result in very good image quality.<p

The Sony BRAVIA NX720, which is available in 40in, 46in and 55in sizes, looks like it will be able to do everything that Sony's best TVs (the BRAVIA H...

It's a cheaper alternative to the BRAVIA HX series if the picture quality proves to be similar

It's 'only' Motionflow XR 200

The Sony BRAVIA NX720 looks attractive and has the same connectivity features of the BRAVIA HX models, but has seemingly inferior display specifications. If you can't tell the difference between the picture quality of these panels, choosing the NX720...

"Very nice picture & User Friendly!"

Good television for the price. You can count on Sony to last a number of years. I love how lightweight this TV is, and how little electricity it requires. We use this Tv anywhere from 6-8 hours per day. We watch 90% sports on this television and the...

The menu system is quite simple to learn and remember. The Tv has more inputs than you will need. love the auto shut off power saver mode. The picture quality is very nice and comparable to our Samsung 50" we have mounted in the same room.

The brightness is not quite as bright as I would like it, but its still nice. I can't really think of many Con's. This is a great Television and if you shop right you can get a very low price on it.

"So far Awesome TV for the price ($1400.00)!!!!"

The initial review it was proced at $1,524.44 - $2,609.99. The price reviewed in Oct 2011 is way out of date. I bought mine for $1499.00. Anywhere on Amazon you can get this TV for that. I am not tech-savy at all but view this TV as I see it. I still...

It was very easy to get it all set up and hooked up to a wireless network. The picture quality is Outstanding, even in SD.

The cons for is getting connected to NetFlix. The instructions were not very clear. I know I will figure it out but it should be easy for non-tech to figure out.

"Terrible 3D and poor picture quality."

This TV is terrible and not worth the money. Don't buy into the fan-boy reviews on the internet. I did and I returned the TV to Best Buy after two weeks of screwing with configuration settings.

TV looks nice when turned off.

Poor picture quality.
