Sony WEGA KDE-42XS955

This plasma TV set's weak color diminishes the overall picture.

Solid audio can't make up for this TV's poor color quality and detail rendering.

I recommend this tv mainly based on price. for around $1k you get 34'' hd tv, which is better than any other out there at this price for that size. cheap lcd's cannot match the tube's black levels yet. this is the last year for sony to offer tube's, so...

price for hd tv at this size. picture quality on hd channels. ease of use, features. number of outputs/inputs on back panel. energy star. picture options(movies,standard, vivid, pro)

tube weight(200lbs), bulky. some distortion on digital channels and some dvd's, but better than standard tv's. speakers are weak. lesser features from previous xbr models
