There’s plenty on offer from the Sony KDL-40HX853, and its price tag of £1000 makes it a highly desirable TV. With its brilliant picture performance, features and great design, it’s the one to beat.

Pros: style and picture quality. Cons: very poor sound, no phono out connection(headphone only), glasses heavy/bulky and my tv was faulty and had to be replaced. Conclusion: not really worth the premium cost.
