Sony Bravia KDL-46HX750 Review

Sony HX750 series information: The review below is based on our time spent with the 46-inch KDL-46HX750 TV. However, the observations made also apply to the 55-inch KDL-55HX750 in the HX750 series. Sony says the sets offer identical features (save...

Very good color performance ; Suitable for bright rooms ; Easily navigable user-interface ; Decent on-board audio

Unimpressive black level performance ; Lukewarm shadow detail ; Poor smart TV response ; Dodgy Wi-Fi performance

While we wouldn't go out of our way to recommend this TV, we wouldn't stand in anyone's way of purchasing one, either.

Sony Internet TV KDL-46HX750

Last year, we were mightily impressed by Sony's high-end televisions, with models such as the HX929 and the NX720 still some of our favorite LCD TVs. At CES in early 2012, Sony shocked quite a few pundits by only introducing a total of 10 models and in...

The Sony HX750 offers excellent color accuracy for an LCD and will give a decent picture without too much calibration. The feature count is one of the highest of any Sony TV this year. Styling is subdued but elegant, and it's not all about looks,...

The overall picture quality is hampered by light black levels. No 3D glasses are included, which is disappointing for a high-level TV. Compared with the stiff competition, this Sony is too expensive for what you get.

The Sony HX750 series isn't the headliner that you'd expect it to be with a performance that isn't up to the level of the asking price.

Sony KDL-46HX750

Sony uses an admirable, consumer-friendly system of labeling their TV models. Currently, their top of the line series is the XBR HX950, which offers - for a premium price - all the features and high-end display technology that you could hope for in a...

Sony KDL-46HX750

An average looking TV with great picture quality stumbles with its Smart TV platform.

Excellent picture quality.; Plenty of options for customizing the picture

Sony’s Smart TV platform is more complicated than it has to be.; This is not the prettiest TV we have seen

"Elegant device, fantastic picture quality."

The SONY is a fantastic TV if being used as computer monitor or as simple monitor for other devices. As "stand alone TV" it is a typical "SONY" in which all good ideas are destroyed or invalidated by "protection" mechanisms. I like my BRAVIA very much...

1. Picture quality even for enthusiasts like myself is fantastic.

1. The multitude of possibilites to adjust, calibrate and tune

"Simply Beautiful."

First for Cnet to be compareing this HDTV in their video to Panasonics Plasma's is just not fair because everyone knows that plasma tv's produce blacks that cant be ANY HDTV! But what the HX750 does do is give you excellent PQ and blacks that...

Beautiful PQ, Deep Blacks, Dynamic Edge LED, 3D Ready, Apps and widgets galore,Beautiful Design, Simply the best LED HDTV made by Sony yet.

None. The reports on some websites that this tv suffers from clouding or light bleeding dont apply at least not to my tv!

"Unfair comparison of LED SONY with a Plasma Panasonic"

Will probably by a 750 in the Fall.

The ST50 is a PLASMA unit and usually are 30 percent cheaper and have better dark contrast. The ST50 is a hotter runner and 2 1/2 thicker.

I would have liked to have learned how much of an improvement the 750 is over the older EX700 with regard to the picture and the 240HZ but no info there.
