The relatively affordable Sony EX640 offers deep-enough black levels for the money and commendable color saturation. The design is attractive and the menu system is easy to use.

The Bravia KDL-40EX640 ($899 MSRP) is a low-end, 1080p Smart TV from Sony in 2012. We like that they are producing a cheaper Smart TV, hitting a niche audience that wants online features, no 3D, and a good television.

Good TV for the money

 

Bought this TV at Beat Buy for $690 which made a great buy. It's discontinued now I think. The picture quality is excellent and it was easy to set up and connect to the Internet via the supplied USB dongle. The speaker quality is marginal at best and...
