beautiful!

Good resolution, Reduced glare, Great picture, Attractive design, Bright image, Good connection options

Sony KDL-32EX700 LED LCD HDTV Review - Intro

The Sony KDL-32EX700 is the smallest of the models in the EX7 series, but still costs a steep $899. What you're paying for here is quality. The KDL-32EX700 had a great contrast ratio for an LCD, only had a few issues on our color tests, and offers tons...

The Sony KDL-32EX700 offers a lot of quality for its price. It has some solid picture quality all around, offering deep blacks, bright whites, a high contrast ratio and motion performance once CineMotion was enabled. On top of that, it provides access...

Sony Bravia KDL-52EX700 LED LCD HDTV Review - Intro

The Sony KDL-52EX700 ($1979) is among the largest of the new 2010 models in the EX7 series. Hallmarks of this series include a robust streaming content package and great video performance. The KDL-52EX700 isn't breaking new ground, but it's damn good...

The Sony KDL-52EX700 offers a lot for the price. Sure it's not 3D, and no, it does not have the embedded WiFi like the NX7 series, but for what it does do, it does it very well. The core performance stats are strong. The 52EX700 offers deep blacks,...

Sony Bravia KDL-32EX700

Innovative automatic power-off feature saves energy; extremely energy-efficient; matte screen works well in brighter rooms; relatively accurate color; solid Internet services including Netflix, Amazon Video, and numerous niche videos; snappy menu system.

Reproduces lighter black levels; darker areas tinged blue; cannot adjust dejudder processing much; less-even screen uniformity; Netflix image quality worse than on other streaming devices.

Sony's midrange edge-lit LED-based LCD is nothing special from an image quality standpoint, but its Internet video and eco-friendliness will attract a lot of buyers.

Sony KDL-46EX700 LED LCD HDTV Review - Intro

The Sony KDL-46EX700 is the first of the 2010 models we've gotten in, and if it's any indication, this is going to be a good year for HDTVs. Not only does the set have access to Sony's amazing array of streaming content, it also has the option to...

The Sony KDL-46E700 looks great. By all accounts, it's one of the better HDTVs we've reviewed, with great picture quality and an incredible array of streaming options, thanks to Sony's suite of online content. The problem is, this is the first 2010...

Quick Review: Sony KDL-40EX700 LCD TV

Want to watch the latest episode of your favourite show? Let's see if the KDL-40EX700 is up to the job.

If all that wasn't enough to make the TV stand out, the fact that its power figures when running are so low mean that if you're for a cheaper power bill it could be a very nice improvement over what you currently have. An impressive feature list,...

Sony KDL-32EX700 Review – 32-inch LED LCD HDTV

When it comes to the smaller screen size, the manufacturers generally tend to overlook the requirements of the consumers. But this time, Sony is making sure that it rakes in all the profits from this zone too. Understanding the mindset of the budget...

Sony KDL-40EX700 Review – 40-inch LED LCD HDTV

Sony has not tried exploring the extremely small screen sizes like the 22 and the 26 inches in this series this time. 40 inches is not that bad a size to keep in an average sized living room. And this size appeals to many customers because of the...

Product Specifications

The Sony KDL-EX700 Series of HD TVs is a great modern TV featuring LED edge lighting, internet connectivity, and a unique proximity sensor. The LED edge-lighting means that the KDL-EX700's are backlight with LEDs instead of fluorescent bulbs, so they use less power and offer local dimming. Local dimming allows different parts of the screen to be lit at different brightness levels, which can generate higher contrast ratios, and thus a better picture. The KDL-EX700 offers a variety of internet-streaming video options, like Netflix and YouTube capabilities, among others. The KDL-EX700 also has a unique "presence sensor" which will turn off the picture after it stops detecting movement in the room, thus saving power (this feature can be adjusted and disabled, if you prefer). The sensor can also detect and react to ambient light levels, to give you an optimum picture.
