Sony KDL-40NX713 review

Sony's Network (NX) range is not only drop-dead gorgeous, but the models are also decked out with all the latest features, including 3D, network streaming, online content and LED backlighting. But you may wonder why there are multiple versions of the...

Sony Bravia KDL-40NX713 review

3D ready rather than 3D-equipped, this step-up set from Sony is nicely positioned for anyone after a top draw, future-proof flatscreen - and it comes complete with Freeview HD tuner. Part of Sony's Network range - we're not sure why when most of its...

Blotchy LED backlighting, 3D kit not included

Yet another strong screen from Sony, with decent pictures across all sources and its best-in-the-business Bravia Internet Video service. A superb all-rounder for 2D, there is an option for a 3D add-on but that will set you back a few hundred quid at...

Sony's 40" network TV range aims to be all things to all viewers

Wonderful HD clarity ; Beautiful design ; Freeview HD tuner ; Wide viewing angle

Uneven LED backlight ; Poor network media support ; Separate 3D sync transmitter ; 3D crosstalk ; Redundant Yahoo Widgets

Sony Bravia KDL-40NX713 review

The stunning design and excellent connectivity makes the KDL40NX713 one of the best high-end TVs we've seen, but image quality can't match cheaper plasma sets

Sony KDL-40NX713 review

Indeed, with a sub-£1000 price tag, and the ability to provide decent three dimensional images alongside top-notch High Definition visuals, the Sony KDL-40NX713 will probably be the first stop for those who want to try the technology, but aren't ready...

The Sony KDL-40NX713 isn’t the most advanced 3D television you’ll see. Indeed, if 3D is the top priority for you, you’d be advised to look elsewhere. But you should still be able to get an enjoyable experience from watching even 3D on this screen, and...

Sony Bravia KDL-40NX713

This 40in LED backlit LCD television is a fine option as a 2D set and not that bad as 3D one.

Considered first and foremost as a 2D TV - which is, after all, how it sells in its 'native' state - the 40NX713 is a really fine option for a relatively discerning viewer. The price of under £700 we've found online makes it great value too.

After doing loads of research and visiting a number of well known high street retailers, I finally settled with the Sony KDL-40EX713, and i am not disappointed either. I went with John Lewis's in the end as they offer a 5 yr Guarantee on all TV's. The...
