Sony KDS-60A2000 SXRD HDTV

I've been getting a lot of letters asking when there will be cheaper 1080p displays. Well, this 60-inch model is $300 cheaper than the last 50-inch Sony 1080p RPTV we reviewed. The 50-inch model in the new A2000 line is a full $900 cheaper. This...

Viewing of program material after calibration revealed slightly oversaturated reds and a barely perceptible rosy hue on some bright scenes that did not show up in color-temperature measurements. Backing off the color saturation and red gain controls...

For HD, I checked out the 16 Blocks, Training Day, and (blech) The Phantom of the Opera HD DVDs, which are the best-looking HD choices at the moment. All looked better than DVD but lacked in really fine detail.

Will sell cheap and buy something else once I get it fixed again... Paid ~ $2650 for this TV Nov 06 (Brand New) to replace 50 inch Mitsubishi projection tv (which has been great for 16 years - first and only service was at 14 years)... after barely 2...

The picture is unbelievable when using my PS3 bluray player for a 60 inch TV. SD DVD's also present a very good picture through HDMI when played on PS3 player

Lamp died 1 week out of warranty. After some time convinced Sony to reimburse me for repl. lamp - but cert. Sony tech had to do work. Bulb#2 only lasted 1yr. Just put lamp#3 in and within 2 months Red Pwr Led blinking 4 times - TV will not come on

I purchased this tv may of 2006 for about $2,000 and at the time nothing this big was even close to that price range. 2 years later anytime I watch HD sports or movies I am still blown away.

1080p looks great, price is right

bulky, but If you have the room its a great deal
