Sony KDS-70R2000 review

If you fancy a projection-sized picture without having to put up with the installation hassles and dark room of a projector, this outstanding Sony rear projection TV is a stunning option. A timely and potent reminder that not all the best things in AV...

70-inch screen size ; HD picture quality ; Extensive connections ; Price

Image loses brightness if viewed from above or below ; Standard definition pictures lack sharpness ; It's a total 'room dominator

Conclusion If you're thinking a flat TV is the only way to go, think again. Provided you've got plenty of HD food for it, this Sony rear projection giant can give you truly huge high-quality pictures far more affordably than any current flat TV can --...

Sony KDS-70R2000 70in Rear Projection TV

If the 103in Panasonic was a bit too large for your living room, try this 70in Sony instead.

With its stunning high definition performance, perfectly decent standard definition performance, enormous screen size, surprisingly affordable price tag and excellent features, we really can’t recommend the 70R2000 enough – especially if you’re after a...

Sony BRAVIA KDS60R2000 - Rear-projection TVs

While the Sony KDS60R2000 rear-projection TV may not have the size of a flatscreen, it certainly boasts the image and connectivity chops at a sensible price.

Sony Bravia KDS70R2000

Sony's introduced one of the biggest HD rear projection television in the country with its 70-inch Bravia SXRD KDS70R2000.

Outlook Although scheduled to be available on the Australian market in October, Sony has yet to confirm pricing for the 70R. It's clearly the biggest news in rear projection televisions in this country for quite some time and promises to bring a very...

Sony KDS-70R2000

Rear projection is dead, apparently, murdered by its flat rivals LCD and plasma. But if this is really the case, then the 70R2000 is one hell of a zombie. For not only is Sony's latest TV resolutely rear-projecting, but it's also a massive 70-inch model

Awesome features and performance, Great prize for its size

So big it may need its own room

It's enormous but delivers a performance every bit as big as its dimensions

Sony BRAVIA KDS60R2000

Have owned it for 2 years

massive, affordable, no difference in picture quality to a plasma or lcd (except its much bigger)

I suppose the weight (52kg) ; Its hard to find a strong enough TV cabinet- it needs a support leg in the middle of it
