You out there... are you STILL happy with your Sony KWP-65HD1 TV?

I read your reviews when considering purchasing the KWP-65 and was impressed and satisfied by the reviews submitted. But, by my second year (2002)of ownership, I was having the "5 blinking lights" syndrom with the picture shutting off with this KWP-65....

IF fixed, this television would once again be a truly awesome set.

Sony should be ashamed, yet they seem to care nothing nor accept any responsibility.

You Know You Want It

It is so attractive. You walk into the store and you just cannot take your eyes off of it. That is totally the way that I was. I wanted this TV the minute that I saw it.

HDTV: The Future of Home Entertainment

I can hardly contain my amazement about the Sony KWP-65HD1. My opinion might be a little biased because Sony has always been the first brand I look to when I am going to invest in a new television. But after considering other brands and models, I...

Product Specifications

Sony creates visions that will delight and dazzle your eyes. Start building your own Sony home entertainment system and begin envisioning the infinite possibilities. Sony has taken projection television to another level with the KWP-65HD1. The 65" display will put you in the middle of the action, whether watching the big game or your favorite movie. Digital Reality Creation technology doubles the pixels on each scan line to create an image with 4X the density found in most projection televisions. Multi-Image Driver is Sony's proprietary technology which converts broadcast signal to VGA (640x480) format, displaying picture at VGA scan rate; allows for features such as Flexible twin picture, Free layout PIP, and Freeze Mode. Anti-Reflection (AR) High Contrast Protective Screen with a scratch-resistant dark tint surface increases black level for even more brilliant colors. 3D Digital Comb Filter Improves your picture by comparing successive scan lines and lines of successive video frames, to reduce dot-crawl and cross-color distortion more effectively than ever. Velocity Modulation Scanning Sharpens picture definition by varying the beam scanning rate to give every object a sharp, clean edge. Dynamic Focus Circuitry maintains big-screen focusing accuracy from corner to corner. These and many other features can be found in the KWP-65HD1 from Sony.
