If you are sensitive to noise (fan noise) and not ready to go for the extra miles to get the HD signal (1080i), I would not recommend Plasma. (BTW, since I can not add my opinion to the Sony Plasma PFM42B1, I will add it here)

An artwork. Simple to use/operate. Excellent brightness and contrast but black is hazy.

Limited input selections which required special cables. Fan noise.

George Jetsons TV!

The purchase of a Plasma screen is one of the most difficult and exciting endevors I have ever done. Let me see if I can share a little of what I have learned.

HiTech Home Theatre

When I was a kid in the 50's, I dreamed of having a flat-screen television just like the ones in the comic books. Almost 50 years later my dream became reality when a Sony PFM 510A2WU took center stage in my living room.
