Toshiba 32UL863B review

A 32-inch TV with Smart features and solid pictures

Slick UI and usability ; Sharp, colourful HD images ; Built-in Wi-Fi

Unimpressive audio ; Toshiba Places needs more content ; Personal TV not worth bothering with

Toshiba 32UL863B review

Toshiba's flatscreen resurgence continues with this feature-rich 32in LED set. Of course, it lacks the ‘wow' factor of the CEVO-powered 55in TV reviewed last issue, but this is a brilliantly executed product that will do a job in any small cinema setup...

HD picture performance; integrated Wi-Fi; slick user interface; calibration options

Weak audio; slight light pooling in dark scenes

Toshiba 32UL863B

This TV packs edge LED lighting, 100Hz processing and online functionality in at an aggressive price. But does that mean you should buy one?

Nice, slim, unfussy design ; Personalised online service shows promise ; Loads of set up flexibility

Multimedia options feel a little unfinished ; Black level not the best ; Standard def playback rather soft and noisy

If you’re thinking of hanging a 32UL863 on a wall, it’s worth noting that most of the connections we’ve talked about here face straight out of the TV’s rear, rather than being positioned more conveniently for side access.
