Toshiba 39L2300U

The Toshiba L2300U series gets you into a big-screen HDTV for under a grand, but don't expect stellar performance or lots of features.

Reasonably priced. 120Hz refresh rate. Good audio output. Energy efficient

Weak black levels. Skewed color accuracy. Limited feature set

Not long ago, if you walked into a store with $1000 to spend on an HDTV you'd have to settle for one with a small 720p screen and almost no features whatsoever. Nowadays, that same $1000 gets you a much larger full HD screen, and in some cases, neat...

Toshiba 39L2300U

The Toshiba L2300U is pretty cheap for a name-brand LED LCD, but that doesn't make it a great value. Its picture quality suffers both in dark rooms and bright, and while it offers a few strengths such as accurate color, they're outweighed by negatives...

The Toshiba L2300U LED-based LCD TV is relatively inexpensive; stylish two-tone exterior design; accurate color; uniform screen, ample connectivity.

Produces a light shade of black; so-called 120Hz refresh rate does nothing to improve picture quality; relatively weak bright-room image.

Toshiba's basic, inexpensive L2300U series LED LCD TV seems appealing to budget shoppers on paper, but better values are available.

Toshiba 39L2300U review

Models in Toshiba L2300U series

Accurate color ; Sharp image ; Attractive design ; Affordable

Poor black levels and shadow detail ; Mediocre feature set and interface ; LED bleed

Toshiba’s 39L2300U dips low on the price scale to give buyers a lot of screen for their dollar, but performance falls apart dramatically in darker scenes and movies.

Excellent bargain TV for small room

I bought this for a small room that I'm using for playing video games so that I don't disturb the rest of the house. I had a very small room and smaller wall to deal with and this fit the bill along with an extended arm wall mount. The HDMI video is...

Compact, excellent picture quality

Very grainy composite video

Great picture, skimpy sound

A nice, no-frills TV (without all the distractions of Wi-Fi, Internet connectivity, apps, etc) resulting in a TV experience that just *works*. Of course, can't expect better sound absent a sound bar -- consequently, the sound is tinny and devoid of any...

Great picture, ok sound, ok mobility

The major factor I was concerned for was having 3 hdmi ports to sastisfy our peripherals.Love the picture. The sound quality is good but the volume controls are strange. On my old tv, you had much finer control whereas this one very coarse. 3 you can't...

Very sporadic sound

Perfect entry level HDTV for my Father

This was a great entry level HDTV for my father who has been watching a 26" CRT console TV for years. It was light and easy to set up once we purchased an HDMI cable. The picture and sound quality are good for an entry level TV. This was one of the few...

Easy set up and remote

Why don't they just include an HDMI cable

Nice TV. But the table top stand is worse that terrible. It is extremely flimsy, and flexible. And therefore the TV doesn't always sit level. But if you can just tilt you head a bit, it might be OK........ (or not!)A call to Toshiba was nothing but...
