The Toshiba 42SL417U certainly didn't leave us with an overwhelming sense of awe. In fact, it was more “Aw, this TV could have been a lot better.” You see what we did there? With poor color performance, a narrow viewing angle, and malfunctioning...

The Toshiba 42SL417U does not live up to its $1099 MSRP. While the black levels and contrast ratio are decent, the TV choked in our color performance tests. A viewing angle of 19 degrees is unacceptable in a time when engineers are finding news ways to...

Nice picture, needs sound

 

Really good picture, and refresh. Good price at the refurbished amount, plus a discount above that made it $514.00. The remote died within a couple of weeks, so i had to get a new one

dead remote ; Need a sound bar to get good sound
