Toshiba 55UX600

While folks are chomping at the bit for 3D HDTVs—or so the industry would have you believe—Internet-connected sets are real and arriving at a rapid clip. Everyone has them including Samsung, Sony, Panasonic, LG, Sharp and now Toshiba. The net-connected...

1080p, 120 Hz edge-lit LED HDTV ; WLAN Adaptor supplied ; Easy Net access ; Solid picture quality but not outstanding ; 4 HDMI inputs

Does not support Netflix ; Remote could be better ; Full-array backlit sets are much better but costlier ; Higher-quality surround circuitry would be a plus

The Toshiba 55UX600 is not a screaming buy, but it’s still a good television that easily connects to the web at the touch of your remote.

Toshiba 55UX600U

The 55UX600U is one of three new Toshiba HDTVs in its X600 series, which boast thin profiles, low power usage, and a truckload of Internet applications. Priced at $2,399.99 (list), this 55-inch TV uses edge-lit LED backlighting technology to deliver a...

High contrast ratio. Solid HD and SD image quality. Large assortment of Web apps. Very energy efficient for its size

Uneven backlighting. Poor screen uniformity. Thicker than competing LED edge-lit models

An energy efficient 55-inch LED-backlit HDTV, Toshiba's 55UX600U delivers good high and standard-definition image quality along with a wealth of Web features. But if you're planning on doing a lot of dark-room movie viewing, this isn't the set for you.

Toshiba 46UX600U LCD NetTV with LED Edge Lighting - Product Review

Although the Toshiba 46UX600U is not perfect, as noted in the above "What I Liked and Didn't Like" sections, it does provide good core video performance for high definition sources that will please most consumers. In addition, the NetTV and Media...

Toshiba 55UX600U

Even though the 120Hz LED edge-lit Toshiba 55UX600 doesn't produce the deep blacks of its direct-lit local dimming cousins, it still delivers a big, bright 55" image that is made for events like Avatar or the World Cup. And its NET TV feature provides...

Toshiba 46UX600U LED LCD HDTV Reviewed

Toshiba earned a thumbs-up from us for last year's SV670 Series of full-array LED-based LCDs. Now the company is trying out the edge-lit LED approach in its UX600 Series. The 46-inch 46UX600U also has a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Volume, and the NET TV...

This TV has a 1080p resolution and will accept 24p sources via its HDMI inputs ; ClearFrame 120Hz technology effectively reduces motion blur, with a separate Film Stabilization mode to address film judder ; The edge-lit LED design allows for a slim...

Edge-lit LED-based LCD TVs can suffer from brightness-uniformityissues, and their black levels are generally not as deep as you'll findwith the better full-array LED-based TVs with local dimming ; LCD viewing angles are not as good you'll find with a...

The Toshiba 46UX600U offers an excellent assortment of higher-endtechnologies and features at a price that's competitive with otherLED-based LCDs at this screen size. The TV's edge-lit LED design andslim profile give it a higher price premium than a...

Overall a rather impressive LED-LCD TV. I selected it for the price point (snagged mine for a significant discount a few months ago on a crazy deal), but the build and picture quality are wholly impressive. If I wanted another 40-inch HDTV, I'd buy...

Slender-but-solid design. Bright backlight. Great scaling options and lots of fiddly menu settings, including 'dot-for-dot' reproduction of video in from a PC. Looks amazing at 1080p from my desktop PC over HDMI. Relatively low heat output. The...

Minor light leakage from the corners, but only visible on completely dark images. Manufacturer has few service locations in my area, which isn't Toshiba's fault since I live in the Middle of Nowhere, CA. No shielding in front of the screen; if you...

Good budget LED

For the price, and the features it's a great TV and other than a few minor annoyances I would recommend it to just about anyone.

Price, Picture Quality, Features, thickness ; Good TV for what I paid for it, it retails for around 1500, i got it for alot less than that. Has good picture quality, ect ; It comes with a wireless dongle for internet connectivity

The Internet TV Features leave a bit to be desired, no Netflix, and I had a hell of an issue with Vudu, the navigation could be better and menu a bit more responsive ; The remote turns on my fan when i hit the down arrow on it so kind of annoying there
