Toshiba 46WX800U

With its super-wide range of connectivity options, the Toshiba 46WX800U certainly looks the part of a high-end television, but performance hiccups like a mediocre to poor color performance keep it from competing with the best of the best this year....

Good black and white contrast ; Handles motion well

Comes up short in color performance ; 3D glasses aren’t included

The Toshiba 46WX800U ($2,599 MSRP) is a fairly average high-end set that does fairly well in some areas, disappoints in others, and offers some very unique features that are of debatable worth. We’d recommend shopping around first if you decide that...

Toshiba 55WX800U 55" LED Edge Lit LCD 3D HDTV

At the Consumer Electronics Show last January, every television manufacturer had at least one 3D-capable display in their booth. Over the next few months, new models trickled into the marketplace. Now that CEDIA has come and gone, the floodgates are...

As a regular TV, the WX800 performs extremely well. Color accuracy is not perfect but pretty good out-of-the-box and much better with calibration. Contrast is excellent and really shows how far LCDs have come in just the last two years. While plasma...

Toshiba 46WX800U 46" 3D TV Review

Toshiba's 46" 46WX800U HDTV is technically an LCD TV - but it uses edge-lit LED backlighting, which makes it very thin, and the entire panel can vary in brightness by analyzing what is on the screen.

If it's on sale, it might be a good deal, but poor color performance makes it seem pricey

Toshiba 55WX800U

The Toshiba 55WX800U has many good qualities. This LED 3D TV offers high-resolution imagery and active 3D technology. It also uses an anti-glare screen to help keep your image clear, no matter what the situation. However, with so many 3D TV options out...

The Toshiba 55WX800U gives you extra control over your viewing experience

Toshiba's customer support is lacking

The display and features on this 3D TV are good, but the inadequate customer support is disappointing.

Horrible Tech Support Experience

I am very disappointed in Toshiba, and their Tech Support Team. I bought the Toshiba 55WX800U back in April 2011, and I have been calling tech support since then to resolve what I though to be a simple technical issue. I have all my components hooked...

I have nothing good to say about this TV at this Point

To sum up ; 1) Toshiba's Tech support team are not well trained ; 2) Toshiba does not clearly state that this TV does not OUT-PUT Surround Sound. Possibly there are other issues that they are not clearly stating ; 3) Toshiba is not willing to go "that ext

Good price for a spectacular set

Attractive Design

Quick and easy set up right out of the box. This set was purchased as a replacement for an aging Sony XBR (6 years old) I have purchased several other smaller TVs for bedrooms, but this one was the replacement for our main television ... so it has receive

Audio is tinny at best, but I found that to be the case with all of the very thin TVs I auditioned. Down firing speakers appear to be an engineering necessity for LED lit LCD s. Audio fidelity is easily and inexpensively rectified by the purchase of a sou

VERY VERY SORRY WE WASTED THE TIME

Amazon has been great and we wish the product worked but neither the blu-ray player nor this set seem to be able to stand up.

It came with free return and shipping and a nice all in one remote

We are at present sending back third set, all three have a pulsating brighter /darker look, tech support answer was to turn off auto picture setting ; Last set wireless and 3d do not work. Side by side with blu-ray player that says network is great...

Outstanding!

SELECTING: I was in the market for a new TV, but I had no intention of getting a 3D TV until I saw the sale Amazon had that included the Bluray player and glasses for $1299. Too good to pass up since I was going to spend close to that on a regular...

Picture is amazing ; 3D is clear and smooth ; Thin bezel & glossy ; Menus are easy to navigate and intuitive ; Remote is backlit, and buttons are well spaced ; Great invisible speakers ; Ambient light sensor is great ; Viewing is consistently good from...

Weak Built-in wireless internet adapter ; No 2D to 3D up-conversion ; Only 1 Component input and it requires an adapter that's included with the TV ; Extra 3D Glasses are expensive ; Useless DLNA feature
