This is a great TV and DOES work with the DIRECTV remote (if you program the right code) its in the 2nd set of the list. My TV is powered off by the Directv remote.schlar01 is totally weak.

Toshiba 32AV502R 32" LCD TV
I have had this TV since October, 2008. It has been used daily and has never had any problems. My kids also use it to play their wii games on. The picture quality is fantastic and so is the sound.

I had to get the TV first before I knew what cords I needed. Then I had to search a little on line for cords that were really needed for hooking this to my equipment. Specific problem with understanding I needed a male to male 15 prong connection for it h...
Manual that came with it was easy to understand when connecting everything. Picture is clean
They don't name the cords that are needed to purchase so you can make all the connections for your usage. You have to get the TV first then figure it out
