Deceptively small TV that makes a big impression
I bought this as a replacement for a dead Hitachi 32" CRT based home cinema system. Whilst this flat panel doesn't offer the same level of sound as my old TV, it is marginally narrower, marginally taller & about 60cm shallower. This makes a huge...

Panel Fault
The product itself is absolutely awesome. The only problem is that the XF AND ZF develop a panel fault after some time. Lines of dropped pixels appear on the panel and they worsen. They do, however, disappear as the TV warms up. I thought I'd try and...

I also had the light effect in the corners of my Toshiba I returned the first set and the replacement was the same so I am replacing it with a Sony.Toshiba say they had to use metal to strenghen the frame and this heats up stopping some of the LCDs...

It's a good-looker, but does the picture also look good?
Even though I haven't used Forrest Gump as a test movie on Toshiba's 46XF355D LCD TV, I have no choice but to conclude the review by saying that assessing a current Toshiba TV is like a box of chocolates: you never know what you're going to get.

The 40XF355D boasts the world's slimmest bezel, making it look like something to hang in an art gallery
Stunning unique looks ; Impressive connectivity
Expensive
Teaming up with Onkyo for the set's speakers pays dividends, as the 40XF355D musters a rich, meaty sound that you don't expect to hear from an LCD TV, and SRS WOW adds a dash of sonic sparkle

Can't fit a 40in TV in your living room? Think again.
Toshiba should be congratulated for creating a TV with such small physical dimensions relative to the viewable screen. For anyone who thought that they could only fit a 37in or smaller TV into their living room, the 40XF355D is a compelling...

The Toshiba Regza 40XF355D looks amazing. The thin bezel gives it a much smaller profile than a standard LCD TV, which look positively lardy in comparison. The TV also offers excellent picture quality but might be too expensive when up against the...

The Toshiba 46XF355D is a 46-inch 1080p LCD television. It has three HDMI ports, a D-Sub PC port, plus all the usual Scart, S-Video and composite connections. It has a contrast ratio of 10,000:1 and a brightness of 500cd/m2.

The first thing to hit you when unpacking this 46Â" TV, is the fact it actually takes up no more room than a standard 42Â". The reason is itÂ's Â'picture frameÂ' design which does away with large side screen bezels. This means that the actual bezel is...
Above Average
So looking head on towards the TV, the actual 1920 x 1080 LCD screen takes up almost all of the set. This makes the Toshiba compact and nothing but screen surface, allowing the TV to look smaller than a normal 46Â" screen. Indeed our 50Â" Pioneer Kuro...

Thanks to its innovative 'Picture Frame' design, the bezel around the 46XF355's screen is just 23mm across, helping the TV look sublime, and meaning the 46in set occupies barely any more space on a wall than a typical 42in TV.
Superb space-saving design, great colours, good HD performance
Average standard definition performance, poor viewing angle
