You've got to admire the 32-inch Panasonic TX-L32X5B's back-to-basics approach and it's certainly not a bad option if your TV viewing mostly revolves around a few soaps and the news. But sound quality is on the weak side and the programming guide isn't...

Low price tag ; Good standard-definition upscaling ; Excellent remote control

For a budget TV, the TX-L32X5B isn't bad, but neither is it a particularly inspiring one. If all you want is a TV to watch soaps and the news on, then it'll certainly do the job, especially as standard-definition broadcasts look very clean.
