Vizio M-Series 2016 review

Vizio is well-known for its budget TVs, but in the last couple of years the company has put out a few televisions that aim higher than the bargain basement. These midrange Vizios, like the M series last year and the P series from earlier in 2016, have...

The affordable Vizio M series has excellent overall picture quality that competes well against even more expensive TVs. It can handle both high-dynamic-range formats. The remote is a fully functional Android tablet. The Google Cast system offers more...

Using the tablet for settings and streaming apps is often more of a hassle than traditional onscreen menus. No built-in tuner, so you can't watch over-the-air antenna broadcasts unless you attach a separate tuner.

Despite the inconvenience of its tablet-based menus and apps, the Vizio M series' excellent image quality and value make it a top choice for the price.

The android remote and vizio cast remote are TERRIBLE! Such a frustrating system!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I should have read the user reviews along with cnet's review. I own 2 previous vizios with normal simple remotes that were great deals but this Vizio cast is...

3 duds in a row

I ordered this Vizio model, which worked well for several months. But then a dark square began to appear until it was obnoxious and very noticeable. I did troubleshooting with it for months, but there was nothing I could do.

Worked well for a few months

What a waste of money!

I purchased my first Vizio 70inch m70-c3 on cyber Monday of nov 2015. I was in the process of building a new home so it was my first gift for the house. I finally took it out of the box and put it to use the first week of sept 2016. 6 months later a...

Broke after 14 months, I like nothing about it!

I purchased my M60-C3 VIZIO TV in early December of 2015. Placed it on the wall, and watched TV for approx 14 months. Early February of 2017, while watching TV, it just turned off. Black screen, no audio, but a power indicator light that is on? Called...

Incredible value for overall picture quality, if you meet it's niche

If you aren't technical, at all, can't provide a wired internet or STRONG 5Ghz WiFi signal to it or a person who needs a tuner and is angry they will have to add one for $40, please just don't buy this DISPLAY then complain about it all over the web....

Smooth, high quality picture, love the tablet controls, love paying for great picture and not a tuner I don't need

HDR doesn't add much punch, people complain about and unfairly downrate the entire display for exactly it's intended market niche features

Excellent product

I've looked at reviews for awhile plus I went to stores to see them up and running. It was a replacement for a Hitachi Rear projection 60 incher that I can't get parts for. By the way I got it at SAM's Club for $943. I have the M65-D0

Great picture

Took a little while to figure out some settings.

Image Good, Tablet Bad, Tunerless Bad

CNET is my first and usually only stop for Consumer Electronics advice; I trust their comparative research, so this review is just my experience, not a disagreement per se. I'm replacing my 8 yr old Samsung 50" 720p Plasma, only because it suddenly...
