Bissell 1694 Powersteamer

I wanted a lightweight machine because I suffer from a bad back, but actually the weight doesnt matter as it is just like doing the hoovering, but you are cleaning the carpet as well. I cannot believe I struggled with a handheld model for years...

When using the wand attatchment it sprays out quite a lot more water than I am used to, making whatever you are cleaning much wetter and therefore taking longer to dry. Although the shampoo mixing system is genius- it uses rather a lot of it making it...

hard floor cleaning doesn't work on quarry tiles, because they are not completely flat and the adaptor falls off when it hits a bump which means it cant suck up the moisture easily.

There is only one reservoir, so only one trip to the sink is needed every time it needs refilling. The tool allows you to clean small spaces and spot clean.

-Very easy to use.(No 'fiddly parts' to attach and loose!!!) -Easy to store -Easy to manoevre -Carpet is not left too wet -So easy to use that I even get it out to use on small stains!

-Tank possibly too small. Frequent emptying/topping up is required. (However this is very easy to do unlike the Vax which I also have) -Does leave lumps of wet 'fluff' on the carpet -Does tend to leave a stain/dark streak where you left it standing...
