MUCH quieter than our old Hoover upright. Our dog no longer leaves the room when we vacuum. The Pet Power Paw really works on our sofa.

This is the best vacuum for stairs hands down. It took me a while to find out that the brush does rotate like a regular vacuum but once i finally pushed the switch all the way back and it got going it was over. I love love love this vac!!
