Dyson DC40 Multi Floor

The DC40 has new technology, but performance isn't enough to warrant $500 price tag.

Almost perfect on hardwood; Good on debris pickup

Struggles on high pile; External tools aren’t great

After a month of use I still like the vacuum

I was somewhat apprehensive about buying an expensive vacuum but this Dyson seems to be worth the money. I like how easy it is to switch from having the brushes on or off when vacuuming carpets and wood floors. The telescoping hose is great and it...

awesome...

This is the most amazing vacuum I ever owned. I was amazed at the dirt it picked up. I swept the day before I recieved it, and I got so excited I swept again, the amount of dirt that it picked up looked as if i'd not swept in a week or more. If you are...

Love this Vacuum...

I've had a Kirby for 20 years. The Dyson DC40 is soo much easier to use. It does not have quite the suction as my Kirby, but again, it is just soo much easier to use. The attachments make cleaning blinds, lamp shades, ceiling can lights, etc. a snap!...

Lovin' it!

Surprisingly slender and lightweight. I have used it nearly daily for the last month and love it. The maneuverability of the ball is awesome. It does take a bit to get used to its "kickstand." This vacuum sucks!

Dyson DC40 vs. Shark Rotator Pro Lift Away

Both the Dyson and Shark are made of plastic. The plastic on the Shark seems a little cheap and non durable. The plastic flexes in certain spots.

Outstanding performance makes the price livable

Within about 15 minutes of opening the box the machine was assembled (just click 5 pieces together per the very clear step diagram) and I was vacuuming a spare room that desperately needed it. At first the action was so smooth I thought I had it set...

Great vacuum!

This vacuum cleans better than any we've ever owned. Although a bit pricey, it is worth the cost, and I am confident that it will last for many years. It's light enough to easily carry up and down steps and it maneuvers well.

Great vacuum cleaner

Really outdoes itself cleaning both carpets and bare floors. Does an excellent job with pet hair. It's a more expensive product but cleans so well it's worth the price.
