Dyson DC49 review

The Dyson DC49 is the company's smallest vacuum cleaner yet. But the ball technology and powerful digital motor mean it punches well above its weight

Tiny size ; Powerful motor ; Ergonomic design

Small dust bin capacity ; High price ; Noisy in small environments

If you’re looking for a new cleaner and there’s a shortage of space at your humble abode, then the Dyson DC49 makes a lot of sense. Performance is far superior to any other vacuum with these dimensions, and storage isn’t likely to be a problem.

Dyson DC49 multi floor vacuum cleaner review - Pocket-lint

Dyson has released an even smaller version of its multi-floor model, the Dyson DC49, and we've been cleaning our house for the last couple of weeks to

The main unit is tiny and light, powerful, plenty of attachments included

The hose is unwieldy, small bin

If you live in a small, one-bedroom flat and need a vacuum cleaner that doesn't wipe out an entire cupboard, then this will certainly do the trick, however that hose is still the bugbear here and something that in our minds Dyson needs to concentrate...

Big suction power in a little body. But can a vacuum really be worth £350?

Dyson digital motor ; Compact, stylish body ; Dyson Ball technology

Expensive ; Small dust capacity ; Unweildy hose

The Dyson DC49 is limited by its small dust capacity. With just a 0.5 litre bin clipping into the compact body, frequent emptying will be required. Although this vacuum is aimed at those will small flats, this restrictive size could still prove an...

Light and lovely

Stronger suction than my old full size hoover, which was admittedly a bit rubbish. One star off because the cylinder can come off easily if you pick up the vac the wrong way. Easy enough to manage but would have preferred a latch.

Dyson DC49

Powerful, light and easy to stow away

Tends to tip over rather easily and the handle seems quite uncomfortable in use

Dyson DC49

very light and small , ok if you live in a dolls house

Poor suction, short cable, tiny attachments, fiddly construction, the unit falls over easily. I wouldnt recomment this to anyone unless you just want the unit for show
