Awesome vac

Belt broke on my Dyson so I picked this up to fill in for a few weeks. Over a year later and the Dyson is still in the closet. The Elite Rewind provided the same suction and functionality as the Dyson for much much less money. A year into owning this...

Solid build, great suction, auto-cord rewind, easy to maintain, bag-less and very durable

Main filter is hard to clean out (but easy to replace)

Poor execution of a neat idea

I would forgo the retractor and buy a more simple, durable and high quality vacuum. A low end simplicity or mid-range panasonic or Royal for example. Granted such a vaccum may cost more and offer fewer gizmos, but, it will undoubtably last longer than...

Retract cord is cool. Hoover parts are easy to find. Dust bin is easy to see into

Loud. Cord retractor broke after less than a dozen uses. Filters clog easily, are not washable and are very expensive to replace. Even the most careful will find themselves exposed to more dust than they imagined they would be when dumping the bin out

Rewind is cool

Not sure why others gave bad reviews. I have had none of the problems they have.

Cord rewind is an awesome idea. I don't know why all vacuums don't have it ; The motorized attachment works really well and easily picks up all the cat hair my cats leave on the couch
