Hoover F8100900 Platinum Collection Carpet Cleaner

The Hoover F8100900 Steam Vacuum (or carpet cleaner) is equipped with Hoover’s new MaxExtract technology (this is actually Hoover’s first product to use the technology). MaxExtract technology is really marketing-speak but this is supposed to provide...

- Does a very good carpet cleaning job ; - Long power cord ; - Machine mixes detergent and water for you ; - Strong suction extracts much of the water from the carpet (short dry time) ; - Emptying and refilling tanks is easy

- Fairly large and heavy ; - Lots of plastic in the construction ; - Cleaning cylinder brush can be a pain

Hoover Platinum Collection Carpet Cleaner

If your wall-to-wall is prone to messes, this cleaner may be right up your alley. It can pick up to a gallon's worth of spills and uses an LED headlight to expose less visible stains, like pet accidents. It also comes with a built-in heater that warms...

Are you kidding me?

Had a previous Hoover shampooer which was great for a number of years until died this year. Hope this Platinum addition is as good.

Not sure yet

Box came damaged (bottom of box tape looked like it had been cut) with missing screws and attachment bracket for the handle. Had to call Hoover to send replacements

Hoover F8100900

Just can't believe how well it cleans. I didn't even use the pet enzyme stuff and it completely got rid of the smell. When I did use that it was even more impressive... Given all of the Cons I still give it a 5 star considering the functionality it...

I'm comparing this carpet cleaner to the base Hoover Model (hoover-f5914900). I used that model for a few months very heavily. It did a decent job but never completely got rid of the smell of urine... Soooo we got this model and even without the dog...

Everything is plastic and feels like it could break easily. Disappointed in the plastic handle mounts for the heavy water bucket that you pull in and out often. The blue LED light is useless and actually makes it harder to see where the spills are. ...

Nice carpet cleaner.

I have owned for 8 months and it gets lot's of use due to the zoo I live in. Household contains my 8 your old daughter (the spill master), 1 old dog and 1 puppy, and 10 cats. I use the Hoover solution and mix the Pet and High Traffic solutions 50/50...

Cleans very well, better than any other carpet cleaners that I have owned. I find it very easy to use. First push forward applies cleaner and shampoos, first pull back rinses. The next push forward and back over the same area dries the carpet

Price was more than I wanted to spend, but if it last longer than 6 years, then it was worth it every penny. The other brands I have used have been scrapped after about 4 years

Floor Cleaning

The product works great. I bought it from Newegg which states it only has a 1 year warranty, that is not true. The unit comes with a 6 year warranty, let me repeat 6 year warranty that can be confirmed from Hoovers website. Thats the main reason I...

Nice unit and cleans well. Has some cons which you can see below ; Read the manual this thing cleans faster and better than any other Hoover or Bissell steam cleaner I have used

Made of plastic but looks good. Senors may not work properly, like mine right out of the box the detergent sensor does not pick up that detergent is in it but it did not hinder the use

Great product from Hoover...

This machine is incredible! It cleans everything very well. Although the components seem fragile because they are made of plastic, they are designed very well. The amount of water it picks up is staggering. The instructions tell you to make two passes...

Price, but I think it's worth it

Hoover Platinum Max Extract F8100900 - Top of the Line Hoover Carpet Cleaner

I have been looking for Carpet Shampooers for quite some time now. I have a small bissell upright quick steamer. That was fine for small spots but it did not have a mechanical brush and just not enough power to really deep clean. I have a couple...

Hoover Spinscrub Best Steamcleaner Ever!

This is the second steam cleaner I have ever owned. I wish it would have been the first, because then it would have been the only - it is that awesome of a cleaner. I have owned it for over two years and have never had a problem with it. I bought the...

Hoover sucks in the wrong way

Did not even include the parts to put it together and were very unhelpful. They did not return phone calls after asking for a call back number or respond to email with phone number in it. Then she was going to try to order the parts which would take...
