Great vacuum on the cheap

Great vacuum on the cheap

This vacuum has numerous features I wish were available on other vacuums: 1) Oversized rear wheels make it easy to do throw rugs, transition from floor to carpet, and just move the machine around. No more bunching up a rug because little wheels...

Not So Hot Vac

Not So Hot Vac

Had this vac for over a year now and find it is not so hot for the price. It's been in for repair twice and is about to make a third trip (after a certain amount of time it seems the suction just gives up). My biggest gripe with the thing is that it...

Great Vacuum

I have purchased 4 upright vacuum cleaners in the last 10 years. 3 were bagless. They have mostly ranged from $200-$350.00. 2 were Kenmores, One a Dirt Devil and one a cordless Westinghouse. None of them have done a sufficent job in my home due to my...

THIS MACHINE IS AWFUL

This is the worst purchase we have had the misfortune of making in 35 years of marriage. First off, the electric cord is put on backwards, so it plugs in upside down...which shows the thought that went into the engineering. Then, the cord comes out ...

Expensive, trendy, junk

Funny how people will give these thing high reviews and they've only had it for a couple of weeks. At 6 months, the telescoping handle has broken. (duct tape repair) The handle assembly has become very loose. The mechanism that takes it from a canister...

I'm a sucker for a good deal--but skeptical

I was browsing Home Depot one day and saw the Z700 stacked in a middle aisle. I was impressed by the high-tech look but it seemed awfully heavy for a bagless vacuum cleaner. I couldn't beat the price for $99 and needed a vac for stairs because I...

I have had this vacuum for over a year and have had it back for repairs three times and needs to go again. Have had the auto door for the wand that change's vacuum flow stick and the motor that drives the filter burnt out. I was told that carpet fresh...

Consider a Dyson instead

This is more of a scientific review on all the latest, and greatest features about Hoover that aren't the latest, and probably the most ignorant designs that Hoover has done. Hoover was the first company to create a vacuum cleaner in 1907 (or 1908)....

The Hoover vacuum is wonderful it works really great on all types of carpet and hardwood. I love that the brush can be stopped when doing hardwood floors. It is very easy to operate. Only draw back is the weight

Hoover Vacuum

Hoover Vacuum

Does good job with cleaning, but so heavy you just don't want to pull it out. I liked the idea of converting from upright, but sometimes the mechanism slips and it converts on its own. Hoover company has some glitches to work out on this one.

Product Specifications

Hoover "Z" 700 Bagless Upright vacuum is the world's first Sport Utility Vacuum. The patent pending Z-fold design offers the performance of an upright and the flexibility and stability of a canister. The patent pending Self-Cleaning Hepa filter cleans itself every 6 seconds. Fine dirt and dust are trapped by the filter as it rotates while the larger particles fall into the dirt cup. As it reaches the cleaning position, a combination of reverse flow and gentle tapping releases the fine dirt and dust from the filter. Dirt and dust fall into the dirt cup. The filter continues to turn and the next section is cleaned. The DigiTouch Control Pad allows for the ease of simply touching the desired setting and having it automatically adjust the On/Off switch, Automatic Carpet Height Settings, Automatic Hard Surface Settings, Gentle brush settings, and diagnostic indicators. The Telescoping Quick Release Wand with Super Stretch Hose gives you 20 feet of cleaning reach for easy stair cleaning, and the hose swivels 360 degrees so it won't kink or topple the vacuum. In addition, the Z comes with a Pet Hair Cleaning Tool, Lifetime LED Headlights, Extra 16" Cleaning Wand and a 14" Floor Brush as well as a 35 foot power cord. The Z 700 also has a 2 Year Warranty and is virtually Maintenance Free. No belts, bulbs, bags, or filters to replace...ever.
