iRobot Roomba 880 Vacuum Cleaning Robot

The iRobot Roomba 880 is a powerful upgrade over the Roomba 790, but even though it sucks (dirt up) more it's basically the same robotic vacuum.

Powerful vacuum for its size. Can be controlled and scheduled to fit your needs. Brushless design helps prevent tangles

Very expensive. Complicated home layouts require planning and accessories, or watching the vacuum and controlling it manually

The original iRobot Roomba amazed us when it first came out, and 11 years later it's still a pretty impressive piece of technology for your home. It has become the go-to name for robotic vacuum cleaners, and it's still the biggest brand. Roomba is...

iRobot Roomba 880

Much like Dyson brand vacuums , I had heard my fair share of iRobot hype before I began testing the Roomba 880. I even had visions of following in Tom Haverford's footsteps and building a "DJ Roomba" of my very own. Sadly, my dreams of channeling...

The iRobot Roomba 880 replaces its predecessor's bristly brushes with rubbery "extractors" as part of the new AeroForce cleaning system. This brushless technology removes debris better than previous iterations and keeps maintenance to a minimum.

The bin is supposedly larger than in previous Roomba models, but it still fills up too quickly when you're dealing with dust and shedding pets. That, and it costs $699.

The Roomba 880 is the most well-rounded, capable bot we've encountered so far, but the $449 Neato Robotics XV Signature Pro still wins the pet hair performance test on all flooring surfaces.

iRobot Roomba 790

Introduction If you're going to let a semi-autonomous machine clean your floors, you'll want to enjoy living with it. With a retail price of $699, the iRobot Roomba 790 is the second most expensive of the robot vacuum cleaners we've reviewed so far....

The charming Roomba 790 cleans your home reasonably well, requiring little human intervention past programming and dustbin emptying.

Its navigational decision making sometimes results in longer cleaning cycles than you might want, and at $699 the Roomba 790 much more than some alternatives.

If price-point isn’t a factor and you’re looking for a robot vacuum to help you maintain multiple flooring types in your home, the Roomba 790 is an effective, low-maintenance purchase.

iRobot Roomba 650 review

We spent a week lazing around while the new iRobot Roomba 650 tirelessly cleaned our house. The model we reviewed falls into the mid-range of robot vacuum technology; low-end models from competitors can be had for less than $100, while high-end units...

Cleans rooms while you sleep ; Powerful suction ; Easy to empty and maintain ; Navigates most surfaces and transitions without incident

Long charge times ; No battery meter on unit ; Only works well in clearly defined spaces

The 650 has some operational quirks and you'll probably want a traditional vacuum available for certain things, but it's an effective and entertaining floor cleaning option.

iRobot Roomba 790

The Roomba utility robot has been sweeping our floors for 10 years, and while the basic task it performs has remained the same, the famous vacuuming disk has gotten smarter.

The vacuuming power of the latest Roomba surpasses its predecessors. The virtual lighthouse beacons keep the robot in the high-traffic rooms, or keep them out of forbidden zones. Too small to harm its human owners during a robot uprising

Expensive for a second vacuum for all but the most ardent Roomba fans. I still can’t get my cat to sit on it while it cleans the house

Review: iRobot Roomba 560 vacuuming robot

By now you've surely heard about Roomba, the robot vacuum cleaner. It might seem like something from the future, but it's real, it's practical, and it's actually affordable. And it's not a just product for tech geeks or?roboticists, iRobot has...

Review: iRobot Roomba Pet Series 532

While I vacuum my living area on a regular basis, I rather not. Who likes to vacuum? I'm somewhat of a neat freak so having clean carpets is important to me. I've always considered buying a Roomba to help eradicate this chore from my life, and when...

Review: iRobot Roomba 560

For years I have seen the commercial for Roombas on TV, and honestly, I thought it was a scam. I always thought to myself that these things don't clean good, or they won't clean the entire floor. I had a lot of doubt in the product and never really...

Roomba Vacuums Its Way Into Our Hearts – the iRobot Roomba Review

I have never been a fan of vacuuming in fact I have gone through many many vacuums because they weren't powerful enough or I felt they didn't clean well. Besides that, as much as I do want to Vacuum I never get around to it because I'm too busy! Well...

Cleans on its own just set a schedule, leaves floors extra shiny, returns to base when it’s done. It's a ROBOT

Doesn't handle long hair to well gets tangled in all wheels and brushes. The better models could be a bit pricey and hard to prove for the price its better than some of the larger competitors

When I left the Roomba alone to do its thing it did a great job. It had gone under my bed and into my kitchen and cleaned in all sorts of weird spots and it was even pushing some of my furniture around to collect the dirt. My wood floors were left...
