Dead Space

By Andrei Dobra (softpedia.com)

The horror survival game genre is a pretty interesting one, with the likes of Resident Evil or Doom becoming the benchmark that other titles need to match. That being said, it's pretty hard for a new game to bring innovation, especially in the very ...

No multiplayer

Part of the game developer's new "quality over quantity" design philosophy, Dead Space, the creation of the EA Redwood Shores studio, manages to get the most out of a pretty dull setting and scenario. If you want to experience the complete package ...

Better as a game prelude than a stand-alone movie

By jackiechad (epinions.com)

Downfall is the movie prelude to the Dead Space game (check out my review for the PS3 version). The overall story focuses on the events aboard the Ishimura, an intergalactic space ship. An alien artifact has been brought up from the planet ...

Good graphics, decent acting, nice game story prelude

Lack of a self-contained story, too much reliance on shock

Dead Space Dead Space Zombie Monsters Eat Your Face

By jackiechad (epinions.com)

Dead Space has been called “Resident Evil in space,” and I can't think of a more spot on comparison. Being that Resident Evil has long been my favorite game series it's no wonder that I like Dead Space so much. It has ...

Pretty Good

By Capthemfoos (newegg.com)

Faster shipping than I thought. Great job again Newegg.

Good walkthrough and it shows you all the items. Although it seems thins, it has a lot of info.

They say achievement guide, but it doesn't give you hints on how to get them. It just lists them.

Manufacturer's Description

This demo showcases Dead Space's critically -acclaimed combat, giving you the chance to experience strategic dismemberment first hand! Use four different weapons (plasma cutter, pulse rifle, ripper and contact beam) to tear apart the horrifying necromorphs that haunt the USG Ishimura. Use stasis to slow your enemies to a crawl or employ telekinesis to manipulate and throw objects (including the recently dismembered dead).
