The Halo franchise is one of the Xbox console's largest and most popular brands. Can this game continue the magic?
A great game which has attention to detail and progressive game-play for an RTS title. The story might be a tad on the over-scripted side though.

Latest HALO delivers a solid game, but drops the excitement level from previous outings
A solid HALO game, at a good price, with strong multiplayer
Looks like HALO, but a sort of less-varied, less exciting version of HALO
Worth a look for HALO fans, and cheap too, but still a bit disappointing.

Throws solid punches but still not quite a knockout
On the graphics front Fight Night Round 4 is flawless. The game's graphics engine churns out the frames smoothly so the action is fluid and, with the clever AI, quite intense. Character animation has improved over its predecessor so movements and ...

Overlord II is set in an era of New Order, when minion's and magical creatures are hunted to the ends of the earth. The minion's decide to make a stand and their overlord assists in doing this with the aim of laying to waste a decadent empire
A sequel that doesn't really build on the original game. Shoddy graphics, poor camera angles and a lack of strategic gameplay are its key flaws. The only satisfaction drawn out of this game involves sending your minions off to destroy enemies and the ...

Movie tie-ins are notorious for offering very little in the way of appealing gameplay but given that X-Men Origins: Wolverine proved a hugely fun and engaging experience, this reviewer had high hopes for Terminator Salvation
On the presentation front Salvation doesn't score too well. Though the levels set in the post-apocalyptic Los Angeles are quite diverse, the visuals themselves don't give you too much to write home about. The games' character models are quite basic in ...

Realistic all-out pugilism with Ultimate Fighting Championship 2009: Undisputed, but does this first UFC game deliver a killer blow?
Where this game executes in graphics, it is poor in presentation. Before a fight plays out, there's no exciting introduction. Even the menus for the game are particularly bland and boring. This reviewer thinks that the game's soundtrack though is ...

X-Men Origins: Wolverine follows the plot of the movie, but avoids the usual pitfalls of movie tie-ins
This title also lacks replay-ability in that there's no multiplayer whatsoever. As a result, the only reason you'll want to play it again is to try a different difficulty level and once you're done with that, there's not much else that's going to pull ...

Followers of the NFS series will have been relatively unimpressed by the previous few outings of the game as they have not been nearly as good as Need for Speed: Most Wanted. Well rest assured that it this is not the case when it comes to Undercover.
Hot-car jobs, where you have to deliver a stolen car in one piece to a chop shop and ahead of the cops, are certainly a highlight of the game. As are the boss chasedowns where you have to literally drive a gang leader off the road, ramming him as many ...

When first having a crack at Ninja Blade, this reviewer came to the realisation that it is quite similar to that of the Xbox game Kung Fu Panda. Now, you might be thinking that this is a crazy statement, but there are some interesting similarities
The game is a finger bashing one that requires fast reactions in terms of pressing a number of what is sometimes relatively complicated combinations. But it is a run-a-minute game that will keep you on you're toes. If you're also into a storyline that ...

EAs' Fifa series of games has been around for years and while it might not have started on the best of notes in terms of gameplay and accuracy, the series has seemingly gone through an epiphany in the last couple of years
Fifa 09's gameplay is realistic and rewarding and will have you coming back again and again
Whether you're a football fan or not, Fifa 09 is a fantastic title that should be part of your game collection.
