Another disappointment from Hotpoint

I had this machine only 3 months before I noticed that the effectiveness of its drying was less than before. A further 6 months down the line, the washing was not being dried at all and in fact when I used the drying mode the display threw up an error...

spin speed dries clothes very well (but needed as the dryer function is useless!)

WD860 The Appliance from HELL!!

Hi! Bought the WD860 about 3 years ago, and was rather excited at this snazzy, futuristic piece of equipment, after my OLD washing machine died of natural causes (after about 10 years). within ONE MONTH the machine produced a strike of lightning in the...

it fills a hole under the kitchen surface

The drying function is a waste of time

wd860-ONGOING NIGHTMARE

Excellent Machine

1600 spin (which is pretty good for a washer dryer - usually around 1200 ; A Wash ; Time to End Display ; Time Saver option ; Reduce creases feature (which I like bcs I hate ironing)

wish I had room for seperate washing machine and dryer

I have read the below reviews and must say that people usually only review a product when something goes wrong. I was recommended this machine by friends which have good experiences. I have not been let down either. I even talked to the online company...

Avoid the WD860P

This is a very nice looking washer/dryer which is very nice when it works

Constantly breaks down ; Requires extended warranty

Although it looks good and appears to do a good job when it works I have found it has a habbit of breaking with error code F-13 which will result in a £90 repair even if the engineer does not replace any parts. If you're after a machine you can depend...

Broke after 1 week!

Lovely looking machine, with pretty lights and good energy ratings! Thats all its good points. Oh sorry it has a child lock facility which stops those little fingers from changing your wash programme or stopping it.

Where do I start? The dryer stopped working after one use, and then it didn't dry properly. The machine was really light and was easily moved by my 20 month old child! It has a 'new' technology filter which self flushes apparently, but I would rather...

Sales rep in the store said that they were not reliable and had alot of problems with these. He recommended German built washer/dryers for functions and relaibility. Where was he when we purchased this in the first place? KEEP AWAY FROM THIS WASHER...

HOTPOINT DISASTER

NONE

Total reliability of products

Have had 2 Hotpoint washer dryers and both have been written off. The first after 12 months and the second after 4 weeks!!!! Various problems include, machine won't switch off, grinding noises, washing programs won't work other than the quick wash (if...

Broken again

Washes well if its actually working. High Spin speed means clothes dry quickly

It keeps breaking down - 5 times in 2 years ; Very noisy (as its insides fall apart)

Take out an extended warranty - you're going to need it. And make sure you live near a laundrette (while you're waiting for repairs).

Seriously Bad Product

Well for a laundry appliance I suppose it looks OK. THAT'S IT! It's one and only good point. To be fair it washes OK on the rare occasions it works.

Huge vibration, Awful reliability, mine has broken 8 times in under two years, Inept customer service.

Seriously, avoid Hotpoint if you want a machine that does anything that it is supposed to. Really, Really bad in every way!
