Duets are a Mistake

They look eye-catching. It does large loads. I can keep up with five kids.

They leak, wear out fast, oversuds turn your laundry into a stiff, smelly mess.

Bearing shot in less than 4 years

Quiet, low water usage, gentle with clothes.

Extremely short bearing life, can't get parts, loud vibration-noise on highest spin speed.

Not at all disappointed.

We purchased the washer and dryer to replace another set that finally wore out after 15 years. I was after a front loader and am so glad that I did. This was purchased in July 2004 and is still going strong. At first I called the company right ...

Ease of front loading, lots of wash options, hand washables, easy on clothes.

Make sure the small stuff is not near the rubber seal.

Doesn't Last Long

Auto senses amount of water to use. Water efficient.

Water temperature always resets to default for cycle. Cheap materials.

Whirlpool duet washing machine was a horrible mistake!!!

We purchased the Whirlpool Duet in 2005. After only having it 3 months, we began to notice a mildew smell in the machine and a stench on our clothing (especially towels). The repair man came out and said that we must leave the door open when not in use...

Looks nice.

The horrible stench that this causes is repulsive.
