Not very long lived.

Bought my 206 last year from a friend who had only used it for a few months. The camera was well cared for and was in original packaging. The camera lasted me less than a year before it started failing intermittently. Finally last week it crashed...

Great cam, but difficult to set up with a Mac

Once you get this camera working, it's great. However, setting it up using a Mac is a nightmare! I had to upgrade my O/S to gain access to Bonjour to get it working.

Easy To Set Up

Easy To Set Up

I use this as a security camera. It was easy to set up and it creates its own website on line so I don't even have to do that. The quality of the video is good.

Poor Support, Watch out

I have purchased quite a few Axis products and have never had to use them for support. I recently went to upgrade the firmware and the firmware update bricked the camera. I went to Axis for support and they essentially were useless. Even though all...

I've had the 206 for YEARS

I've had the Axis 206 for over three years now. It's good as new. It was new technology and much more expensive back then. I bought it to monitor the house for comfort when away. I used to have a D-Link camera, and OH what frustration (Piece of...

Axis is on top

Get one! Included free software lets you set up motion detection alarms to send you an email or text message to your cell phone! Software buffer captures the scene 10 seconds leading up to the motion.

Loaded with features. Excellent in low-level light. Five times greater resolution (640x480) compared to Linksys network cams (320x240). Twice the shutter speed at 30 fps. This camera is molded plastic, smaller than similar models. Camera designed in...

serverless webcam

serverless webcam

This camera has good detail for just 640x480. It hooks up to ethernet and contains a full webserver in just that tiny box, and so I don't need to leave any server or laptop running. I use it at my vacation home so I can see the property over the web...

Okay

I've rebooted this unit probably a good 10 times just to get it to recognize the IP. It doens't want to see it in the windows s/w only the web browser. No support, only through web site. Not ready for prime-time. Camera needs to have firmware upgraded...

Clear image, but you have to adjust it for each room manually which is a pain.

Camera lacks FTP. Cannot FTP images to your web server from this. Many options to choose from, not for the novice, but also time consuming for the expert. Expect a lot of reboots!
