Nice camera, but didn't play well for networking with other Axis unit

The camera itself is nice enough, but didn't lend itself to easily being networked with the other Axis $800 PTZ unit we bought at the same time...unless we spent a bunch more money on the Axis software. Didn't know that until after they were received....

207MW

Update the firmware first and read the manual if you are having connection problems. It is all in the manual. I use a Netopia 2247-ent router and encountered no issues. As I mentioned - read the manual - it is not a simple PnP. I also have a high level...

This is a superb indoor surveillance camera for the price. Video is excellent. Installation takes a bit of time. I use Synology Surveillance Station for data collection and it is best to use IE for configuring the camera. It also takes some time to set...

Expensive but it works

Axis 207MW Experience

I own two 207MW and have used them for about a year. Video image with HD like format is good. Some bowing near top/bottom of image due to wide angle lens, this does not bother me. WiFi connection was easy to setup. For video streaming it is...

Pro-quality Camera

This is a serious camera for those who have serious needs. Plain and simple - it just works. It plays well with Apple networks components and Macs, as well as with Firefox for Windows. It is highly configurable via a web browser (is also easy to set up...

Excellent image quality, setup was simple on an Apple AirPort network, does not require IE to view remotely, solid construction, decent low-light quality, has not dropped off wireless network since first set up almost a year ago

A bit pricey

Camera - 4 stars, manual & support - only 2

I have had this camera for more than a year and I would never recommend it to a person who has very little knowledge of a computer/network/internet structure. Axis' support is not consistent, it depends on who answers the phone: some people are very...

wireless is unreliable

So, I have been evaluating this camera for a week now and related Axis software. The only issue I have run into so far is this recovery problem over a wireless network. Unfortunately its a killer for the product. Rebooting my 2wire modem hangs the 207...

Pretty great for watching indoor spaces

Good camera for the money. The wireless didn't work with my home N system (the access point was a Linksys WRT160N) but worked fine with the SonicWall TZ 190 it was actually meant to work with. The feature set is great. It will upload to FTP, email,...

Simply does not work wirelessly

Simply does not work wirelessly

I purchased this camera with the intention of monitoring my house while away. Wireless was important since I did not wish to run extra cables to the location. While the camera did 'work', it was consistently for only a short period of time before it...

Incredible camera!

This camera far exceeded my expectations on quality, range, and ease of use! I'd highly recommend. In fact I am looking to replace our other web cam with one of these as soon as I get it budgeted. [...]
