D-Link DCS-2332L review

The DCS-2332L is an outdoor IP camera that can stand up to the elements, but its image quality is underwhelming

D-Link HD Wireless Outdoor Cloud Camera DCS-2332L review

The setup of the device is straightforward and requires that the unit is connected via ethernet. During setup you can set a password and choose whether to select Wi-Fi connection or ethernet. It is only possible to use Wi-Fi and retain the weather...

The DCS-2332L is a solid performer both in the daytime and night time and the weather sealing held up well to our testing. The local and remote access software provides fine grained control of the video and recording options. As an added bonus the...

Simple to use; Clear image; Maybe not for Fort Knox

Given the two cons I had, I might be hesitant to use this device as my primary security device in a remote area (or some place a don't visit on a semi-regular basis). Other than that it's a great little day/night IP camera with an IP65 outdoor raging....

Let's start with the superficial: it's a nice looking device. Not that it necessarily blends in, but it doesn't draw a lot of attention either. This device is ready for the outdoors. With an IP65 rated casing it can handle anything but the extremes...

The day after I setup this camera I left town for 5 days. The second day, the connection was lost to the camera and it never came back. I haven't had that problem since, though I have had intermittent outages. So I can't really say if it's the camera's...

Nice Camera

If you are going to place this outdoors, you have to keep in mind how you run the wiring for the electric plug. While the cord has a decent length, I don't have any electric outlets easily available in the areas I would want to mount it to that...

Physically this camera looks nice and feels solid when you get it out of the box. I was surprised by the weight of it, but no complaints on that. You will have to remove the rubber stopper to get to the NIC in order to plug in a network cord to your...

Not REALLY a CON since this is not an advertised feature... but I would like the capability to have it record the video feed to a computer (like a DVR) rather than having to use a MicroSD card in the camera, Maybe a future software / firmware update...

Easy to set up and use

That interface seems to inherit from the web-based menu system that their other equipment uses, so if you're used to that it can be okay. The whole thing also feels dated compared to the rest of the product/package design, mainly due to being static...

Incredibly easy to set up and have running right out of the box. It supports Power over Ethernet so you don't need to use the included adapter to be directly plugged into the camera. 30FPS at 720p is attainable, the infrared night vision works pretty...

The interface leaves something to be desired. There are a lot of submenus to navigate to find what you need for updates and configuration. The config also don't seem to work entirely in tandem with the mobile app; the app allows some feed options but...

Great, well made camera!

The product is well made and comes with most of the features people would be interested in for a wireless camera. I definitely recommend this product to others, especially if it can be found on sale!

Good quality product. Works indoor and outdoors 720P delivers good image quality. Setup was quick and simple, including setting up the mobile app. Mobile app worked flawlessly rather on WiFi, or using mobile connection while away from home, delivering...

During my time of reviewing this product, I honestly didn't run into any real "cons".

So many things you can do with it

The night vision could be stronger but not a deal breaker, the hardware for mounting could be a bit less bulky and feel more like mounts and less like a web cam. The thing that would have set this camera well ahead of all its compaction had they added...

Let’s start with some of the things I really liked about this camera: I really like that it can be used both inside and outside and the camera housing does not have just that outside look so placing this in your baby’s room is no big deal because it...

The biggest con is the firmware. If you’re going to be using this camera in the Wi-Fi internal capacity then you really need to make sure that you’re keeping up with the firmware. There is no built in method for this that I see but you never know they...

Perfect outdoor camera

I don't understand two things..one the wrong crazy price.. $219.99 list at D-Link.. vendor pricing, not Newegg. Secondly I totally disagree with the one bad review. Over 30' away I have a constant, clear connection with no loss. Very easy install and...

Weather resistant and quality made. 720HD and lower, adjustable and helps for longer recording time. SD card for on camera recording.

The screws to the SD access cover are small.. easy to loose if not careful.
