D-Link Pan & Tilt Day/Night Network Cloud Camera (DCS-5020L)

D-Link's pan/tilt/zoom camera doesn't add enough to the package to make it the best home surveillance camera, especially without online (or any) video storage. Still, the camera and mydlink service do a good job with streaming VGA video at a low cost...

Good price. Free 24/7 video streaming. Support for multiple cameras. Wide viewing range with pan/tilt. Decent free mobile app for iOS and Android and even Windows Phone. Includes Wi-Fi Extender option

No cloud "DVR" recording. No online storage. Not HD video. No travel point settings for instant pan/tilt

The experience of using a PTZ (pan/tilt/zoom) camera should be like in the movies—all that range of motion should let you see anything in the room, up close, and in startling detail. That's never the case with consumer-level PTZ cameras. I was not...

The DCS-5020L outshines even its own sibling because of the pan/tilt capabilities, working well with a VGA stream, and better night vision, all for only $20 more at retail. But without much higher quality video and the cloud-recording option (or,...

D-Link Day/Night Camera : D-Link DCS-5020L Day/Night Camera

Having looked at several security/surveillance cameras this offering by D-Link seems to offer a lot more out of the box and not only can you view from any PC but also from iPad/iPhone and Android devices and data can be stored in the cloud.

The D-Link DCS-5020L web camera can be fitted on the supplied holder or used flat on a surface meaning it is a lot easier to move from place to place. Without the fitment it is 17cm tall, 12cm wide and 11.5cm deep with power lead inserted. Unlike most...

A Solid Start

We got two of these to expand the range of our wifi and look in on our kids ( < 4 years old) when we want to. Getting these two cameras setup wasn't the easiest and we kept getting errors during the process. In the end we got it working and I can...

Wide field of view, fairly high compatibility with viewing programs

Somewhat difficult to setup, slow response at times, repeater function is garbage

I love it for the price and reliability

Price to feature ratio is very high on this cool little camera

Once you have it all set the iPhone app works almost flawlessly. Signing in an seconds. Controls are easy to use and very responsive. It sees very well in the dark

There is some firmware that needs to be updated, but if you have any computer knowledge, you won't have much problem. People having issues just don't know what they're doing, or got a bad egg

Nice inexpensive security

I first purchased a "WanView" (I think that was the name of it), but never got it to work, because I didn't understand the tech info in the users manual. It was a wireless, IR camera for outdoor use. no support, it's from China where they must have had...

This camera was very easy to set up. Compared to others I've purchased, where you actually had to go into the router and assign a port number and port forwarding, this "dlink" software is easy to work with. I was able to use the iPhone app with no...

It wasn't free

Basic IP camera with nice features

Overall I would have no problem recommending this camera. It has very good features for its price and the motion and sound detection work pretty well. I was never able to get the sound detection to work to my liking but I am loving the motion detection...

The D-Link DCS-5020L is a very user friendly, easy to setup IP camera. After receiving this product I was up and running in a matter of minutes. The installation is very straight forward and only required me to hard-wire the camera to my router until I...

This section was a bit of a mixed bag, a lot of grips I have this this camera are minor at most but the amount results in the minus of one egg off the rating scale ; This first grip I have is the camera's resolution. At this price point and with these...

Good for the price

Had to install Java runtime for the mydlink app to work on my PC be careful not to load the toolbar with the Java installer In night mode it has 4 very faint lights around the camera lens that light up The activity light and power light are on the...

In the BOX - Camera, Power plug, Short Ethernet Cable, two mounting screws with drywall inserts, seperate wall mount with drilling template, and a Quick Install Guide ; Can use Zero Configuration setup if your router supports it or manual setup ;...

Controlling the camera can be tedious as you must keep clicking the screen to make it move a tiny bit at a time ; Camera would disconnect occasionally when viewing it via iPhone, could be a connectivity issue on the phone, but still annoying ; Camera...

DCS-5020L Cloud Camera

I like it for close viewing and the wireless is a plus. Other than that they need to revamp the soft ware. and kick up the resolution size is also nice,

Wireless. and wireless extender nice little addition. I also like the night vision and the pan scan 340 degrees pan by 120 degrees tilt . and the I also like the sound very load and clear. and motion detection. view fairly decent at 1x all though not...
