Does what I need

Does what I need

I am only using the DCS910 to upload stills to a web site for monitoring our dogs while at work. Does the job very well with no issues. Using Dynamic DNS I can log in and see real time video which is a bonus. Have never used the software so I can't...

Camera okay - software & setup sucks

It took over 5 hours with "tech support" to get it working on my LAN. Many more hours and still cannot access it from a remote site. Biggest problem is that the "techs" all have English as a 2nd language. I thought I was talking to someone in a 3rd...

What they fail to tel you.

Thae camera works fine. the picture is decent and its ability to upload to an FTP site is excellent for keeping security pictures off site. The setup software, while nothing to brag about, does what it is supposed to. Now, for the "gotcha". D-Link...

Ok camera but HORRIBLE software

I spent hours trying to get this camera to work reliably with the included software, and it is simply too buggy. This is beta-grade software. I installed it on a dell pc with a fresh install of XP Pro. The computer is well above the minimum...

Not the clearest picture but it works

I got this camera. It does not have the clearest picture. The camera looks like it is about to tilt over because of the design. Especially when you have two cables on the back. It work for me. Never a disconnect. Maybe its because I have a router...

D-Link DCS-910 640 x 480 MAX Resolution RJ45 Surveillance Camera

I should research why items are on sale before buying them.

Cheap

DOES not even launch on 64-bit operating systems ; Included software has typos (Dlinkiew). Can't even manage to uninstall the thing as it crashes immediately

Works Great

I like the white color, it blends in better than gray, looks better both in shops and churchs. I wish this dlink camera had options like a dome, or bread box that was in the fifty bucks range. I use POe with these all the time with out issue. just set...

works. just update firmware, and down load 2.03 d-viewcam. Then make your own software ; Right click view source when in main camera page. then cut and paste to a txt file and/or a web page in frontpage. I run dual 22" acer monitors and bring up an...

dlink needs to make camera not so tall ; so camera fits in outside housings again ; have to take camera out of its case/ or hax-saw ; the top and bottom of case off to fit in our bread box style camera housings ; You would think a manufacture would...

Clear image convenient network attached camera at reasonable price

I bought DCS910 in Nov.2008 and DCS920 one month later. I am quite satisfied with both of them and I did not meet any problem till now, or say I could solve the problems that I have found. The network attached camera supports up to 640x480 in...

Product Specifications

Equipped with its own web server, this network camera connects to a home network and streams live video over the Internet to any computer equipped with a web browser. Unlike a web cam, it does not need a PC to be turned on. The camera records and streams video in Motion JPEG (MJPEG), a video format offering a high level of detail and used in very high quality video captures. Equipped with a high quality CMOS sensor and light sensitive lens, the camera works well even in low light conditions. It also includes a 4x digital zoom for close-ups. The camera includes a software package, D-ViewCam 2.0, which allows users to record video streams on to a computer hard drive or storage device. You can set it to send out an e-mail alert and start recording as soon as motion is detected.
