Failed after 1 year 4 months

If I were dissatisfied I would have given less than 2 eggs, but honestly it's a good camera. It just failed when all the other cameras I have in my house are still going strong after years of continual use. Edimax is a good brand. I have another edimax...

Excellent resolution, and powerful IR beam for night time viewing. Movement of camera is responsive. Microphone is sensitive, and the web UI is very thorough

Disclaimer: I am of the thought that electronics are not eternal, however I feel that if I paid over $100 for an ipcam it should at least last 2 years ; Product died completely after 1 year and 4 months usage. All three lights light up on unit, and...

Not recommended

I should have read the reviews before I purchased this camera. I am exchanging the camera, if the replacement works any better I will post an update.

Picture quality

It works for a few days ; Poor network connectivity ; It appears that several other reviewers have had similar issues. it quit conneting to the network ; Bad Value ; I have cameras that are half the price working flawlessly. Picture quality and price...

A midrange value

I can't stress enough how poor the software is. And of course it is proprietary to only Edimax it will not see any other cameras in my network. Use IP-Cam or better use Blue Iris which will see almost any manufacturer camera even the desk on your...

Solid WiFi connection. Easy to setup. Better as a limited inside cam

Don't even think of using the software it's stone-age. I use this cam with Blue Iris and it works fairly well. However, I can not get the sound to work with Blue-Iris. Others are right the colors are week and pink and the IR light strength is very,...

Somewhat works

Night vision, Pan and Tilt

This is an update to my first review which I only gave the camera 1 star. Camera only seems to work with their "cloud" software - haven't been able to get it to work as an IP camera (unless you are on the same network). You have to upgrade to the...

Excellent IP Camera for the money

Don't recommend you to use Internet Explorer for monitoring. I use Chrome instead of IE because IE kept no response. I had to close IE manually from task manager. If you have smartphone, download the free APP which works great on my phone.

This product was arrived as described. It came within 3 days as promised. It was extremely easy to setup if you understand your network. Even if you are not a technical expert, you just need to follow installation guide to setup, step by step. It’s a...

I can’t put it outdoor because the camera is not weather-proof. I wish Edimax can offer some cases for outdoor use

I hope the camera keeps working with out issues for a long time or I am going to regret giving it a four egg rating. Newegg always delivers on time no big issue or DOA with the products I have purchased so far.

Very easy to setup that even with little technical knowledge anybody can handle. Fair quality picture, good price, eCloud works OK

Some how the ip camera stopped working one day and could not access it. The solution was to disconnect it from power source to reboot the cam. It's been working OK since

Great and Cheap Camera

I own three IP Cameras (Foscam FI9821 and DLink DCS 5222L are the other two) and the Edimax is one of my favorite (DLink is great, but twice the price - I'm not a big fan of the Foscam). This little camera does what its suppose to. I should state that...

Cheap, Large Range of Motion, Great Video Quality

Obtrusive looking, Square pixel format

Not so Great

I see some reviewers made it work, so I bow to all of you. I'm somewhat familiar with networking and port forwarding, but still ended up spending at least 3 hours on the phone with tech support. They actually downloaded a manual for my DIR-655 router,...

Reasonable price for a megapixel camera when on sale ; Tech support was very responsive, although a bit hard to understand

Could not get it to work remotely using a paid No-IP account, would only work on the local network ; Wireless didn't even work on LAN ; Color was poor, green trees looked pink ; According to tech support, Cloud viewing doesn't provide any camera...

Best cheap camera I have used

I plan on getting many more of these cameras and setting up my own computer for a video recording server to connect the cameras to. This will be far cheaper than ready made solutions and have better quality cameras too.

We are researching different cameras to install at our warehouse for video surveillance. So far we have tried a kit that came with 12 cameras for $1300 and only 4 of the cameras that came with that are even close to what I would consider decent. Those...

The only thing I wish was it could be powered over Ethernet, but for a PTZ that is very hard to find since current PoE usually cant provide enough power for them and with such a cheap camera, a feature like that can hardly be expected. Maybe in another...

Easiest setup for a wireless IP cam

bought a couple of wireless web cam before, but couldn't really figure out how to set up the wireless part due to lack of proper documentation with the cheaper ones on the market. But this one is a no brainer, and requires nothing from the user to set...

Price is higher than some other makers, but you pay for the convenience and support. Image on the iPhone App has OK quality ; the IR sensor, if you set in auto mode, has pretty high threshold for light, and will be on most of the time if indoor. I...
