If you're looking for a webcam for more than basic video chats on Skype and Live Messenger, Genius' eFace 2050AF will appeal. It has a 2-megapixel sensor for 720p video, and an auto-focus lens to keep things sharp. It also comes with CrazyTalk Cam...

Image quality is fine, but the limited frame rates above 640x480 mean this HD webcam isn't quite all it should be. If you want HD video, spend a little more on a webcam capable of at least 25fps.

Genius eFace 2050AF review


The Genius eFace 2050AF supports 720p HD video chat at a paltry 9 frames per second (some competing webcams managed frame rates of 30 fps in high definition). Unfortunately, the limited frame rate translated into choppy video.

Overall, the Genius eFace 2050AF is no match for some similarly priced cameras - in particular, the Microsoft LifeCam HD-6000, which also features a 360-degree rotational swivel. The eFace 2050AF's mediocre HD video quality, poor design, and lackluster...
