Why all the hatin'?

I bought this because the people across the street from me were having some car theft issues. My neighborhood is actually pretty safe but I thought a little of extra security would be great. Obviously the ease of setup was the draw to this product but...

Works as advertised, pretty good quality

No iPhone app integration. You have to pay for a few more features with the software, and live feed is a bit choppy at times. No lens zooming or panning

nice but...

Stupid simple, performs essentially as expected, and easy to setup. No wires to run, no video head/dvr necessary, just a PC and some power outlets. Very cool, and a product type the industry could use many more of. Not multi-router aware, so if you...

Installed the software and two cameras without incident, with both the software and camera firmware updating automatically and almost immediately upon completing the ridiculously easy setup. Image quality is adequate and what I expected for VGA @ 15fps

Night Illuminator kit no longer available; indoor camera will not stay connected to "network" no matter what outlet I have it plugged in to. Will be performing an replacement RMA in hopes of getting a camera whose image doesn't randomly drop off and...

Works Great for awhile

I will be going with something universal such as a Wifi IP camera in the future that way I won't have to worry about proprietary software.

These take about 2 minutes to setup on a network once the software is installed

Started with a three camera system and over time the cameras started falling off the network one at a time. It has been about 2 years now and I am down to my last camera. Another issue is if you want real time remote viewing, you have to pay for the...

Very Satisfied!

I purchased the outdoor master system in Feb. '09 to monitor my home. Shortly after I added one more outdoor camera and one indoor camera. One of the outdoor cameras is connected to a 25' extension cord and is positioned up in a tree, and like the...

Easy installation and works well with Vista 64 bit. Love the free remote viewing

I'm surprised

I didn't purchase this outdoor camera system from newegg, I wish I had. After over 2 months of back and forth emailing and calling their support line, and after numerous status updates, and "this case has been upped to the "guru" of Logitech, I still...

Was impressed while it worked. Great picture, great setup, it's Logitech! Newegg rocks

Only worked for a week, then the usb reciever died. Logitech sent in a replacement, then the cameras only worked while in the same room, but not where we initially placed them. Sent it in for a refund to Logitech due to the long wait in recieving the...

Works as advertised.

I'm not taking off any eggs off the cons. Mainly because the camera works as advertised. They never said it would work with 3rd party software. I just couldn't find any information online telling me if it would or would not.

Very easy to setup. Plug in the Camera into an outlet and plug in the receiver. Works as advertised. Once you install the software the camera shows up. Picture quality is fantastic. Software is very easy to use

The Product does not support ANY 3rd party software. It does not show up as a video device for other software, meaning. You can not use this camera to run your own webcam server. You MUST use the logitech software. If you want to view the camera on an...

Works fine so far!!

I am giving one system a trial run, so far so good. I need about five more to get total coverage of my home. That is what I like about this product, it's very easy to add more.

Downloaded the Vista 64 bit beta version before I bought this system. Once I recieved the package, I had this up and running in 15 mins. So far this system works great, software is easy to use. You can upgrade to a better software interface without...

A little pricey, but the ease of use make's up for that

Best investment for piece of mind!

I needed a couple cameras for my office and home. I spent a few weeks researching IP and analog cameras in the market. The result: Alert is by far the best product in the market. I tried other solutions before (dlink cameras and DVRs). Logitech Alert...
