Microsoft LifeCam HD-5000

With High Definition being all the rage recently it's no surprise that there is a demand for high definition webcams. Microsoft released their LifeCam Cinema with a 720p resolution last fall, they now carry four different models with HD capability's....

It's no doubt that this is an improvement over the last webcam we had a chance to check out. The high resolution is supported by the built in auto focus to give a near perfect picture all of the time. My only complaints are the microphone picking up...

Great little webcam

Don't know about what some of the other reviewers are talking about when they complain about the auto focus causing them grief....mine works fine. I do a lot of Skype with family and friends, and they all say they like the quality of video they are...

Works well for video chatting and pictures.

Great for video chatting and stuff i need to do with it. Mic is fine, it works

I dont know if its the software of the camera but it records video horribly with the free programs ive used. No support software or generic microsoft software

Very Happy with it, a great deal!

Terrible compatibility with Win7. After a few weeks my computer stopped recognizing the camera despite up to date drivers. Reinstalling the driver seemed to fix it, but here I am a week later and it's doing the same thing. Had no issues whatsoever when...

Great Cam!

Great investment....completed an online consultation and when I asked the client if they could see me, her response was: Yes--you are REAL clear! Which was great because her webcam wasn't as clear :)
